Yeah. I guess the actor who plays him was contracted for 15 episodes, and I believe bumped up to a series lead. Looks like Castiel is going to be around for a while.
(though just because he's contracted for that many doesn't mean they'll actually use him for that many. They COULD kill him off at any time....or have him around forever. Who knows?)

I didn't watch Supernatural when it started (started about 2 years ago). I bought Seasons I and II on DVD and have just about caught up on those.

I'm quite fond of the Winchester boys.

Ah, my favorite show on TV, the Winchester boys. I have been watching the reruns because I miss them.

I have watched "The Monster at the End of the Book" 3 times. That has got to be my favorite so far with "larping" and mentioning "slash".
Which is obviously giving a sick shout out to the FanFics.

I just added season 4 to my DVD collection. I have all the seasons so far and I have been catching up on them getting ready for this Thursday! I can't wait to see how the Winchester bros. get out of this one!

Well....lots of twists there that threw me.

Fell for the "killed off Castiel". I really thought they ended his character.

Fell for the "Bobby rant". I was sitting there stunned, when he said that stuff to Sam and then BAM.

I had to keep pausing it a bunch of times so maybe that altered my view of it but wasn't thrilled with the season opener. I am glad Castiel is alive or whatever, and that Bobby is ok, he is a great character. I understand the title, Sympathy for the Devil as the "vessel" had a really tragic event happen. It was ok, just not up to the standards of some of the other openers, IMO. I guess we will see how things progress for Sam and Dean while they have a little time to themselves.
