Offical free dining watch 2008

ok another stupid question. After reading the boards there seem to be alot of people with the disney visas that are going to be able to book 3 days prior to the public. Does disney allot so many rooms for visa holders and then so many for the public? I plan to be up calling bright and early on the 10th but for those that have done this before, if you were up and calling before disney opened did you have problem getting into a value with the free dining?

I booked online a few weeks ago.

It shouldn't be a problem to get the dining code if you've booked online. All you have to do to add the code is call the 407 disney number from the website and give them your booking confirmation number and they will take care of anything you need to change.

We've changed a few things over the past few weeks and they pulled our booking confirmation number right up:thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Why bother booking online if you have to call anways? Also I'm not sure about getting free dining online. I thought I read you couldn't. You need to call, if I remember correctly.

I'm a newbie...this is trial and error. and really we're booking no matter what. The changes I've made have been with DINING ONLY. And each time I have to give the reservation number:thumbsup2

As far as the code.......You just call the code in and they add it to your reservation number....of course like the other person said, we have to be flexible because they could have to change it....but we want our package anyways and are going during that time...as well as the DxDDP.

But as far as anything else, we're novices. Booking online was easier for us.:cool1:

I guess I'm new at this free dining stuff because I haven't been to WDW in ten years. Right now I have late August booked for WL with the Deluxe Dining Plan (fully paid). What happens if they announce a free dining code? Is there anything I can do to get the deal? I really can't the date of my vacation and we really want the Deluxe Plan. If anyone could clarify, I would appreciate it.

Yes! You call if youre dates are part of the promo nd tell them you would like to add the free dining promo to youre ressie! They will credit you the difference between the reg DDP and DlXDDP!:)

Thank you so much for your clear reply. Reading so many posts can get confusing. Now I can only hope I have the right dates so I can get some credit back. I'll just spend it there anyway! :woohoo:

how do you get the free dinning thru walt disney.com or a special visa card?
We are speaking of the Disney Visa card. My card is through Chase. Those of us having this Visa card can call and reserve free dining on April 7 (at least that's what we're counting on). If you don't have a Disney Visa card, you can book on April 10 (again, what we're counting on).

How do we know this? Or is this the "theory/rumor"?

My TA told me the same thing but I decided not to book DDP and just wait until free DP was released. Could always add it later

I think we're all hoping for it! I talked to my AAA agent and told her in clear words:

Not changing resorts, must stay at WL
Not changing dining, must keep DxDDP, but will gladly accept it at a discounted rate, should a code become available.

She emailed me:
....I'm getting rumors of free dining, but nothing 'official' from Disney.....yet.....
....I've put your file in my free dining file and hope it will offset some of your cost.......

So, keeping my fingers crossed!

Does anyone kinow if there is a maximum length of stay? 10 days or 10 nights?
