Offical FlashFoward Thread-Spoilers Possible

I was really looking forward to this premiere and I was not disappointed but there were a few things that bothered me. I know I am just nitpicking but didn't they say that the flash forwards were all on April 10th (not quite positive of the day) 2010 at around 10:00PM right. Well that one lady was having a sonogram. Who has a sonogram at 10:00 at night?:confused3 Did I miss something??? Also the two people that were in London were in an office having a meeting at 6:00 AM ??? I don't know why but that really bothered me!

Isn't that just around TV sweeps time?

From what I've seen the season finale will air the same date as the flash fowards so something there?

I really liked it. Very thought provoking. I have it on my DVR so I need to go back and re-watch it. I managed to miss all of the LOST references...:confused3

Loved it! Never really watched Lost either, so I obviously missed a lot of those references although i did recognize the 2 guys from Lost. I am wondering what was up with the kangaroo lol can't wait until next week.

I enjoyed it. Never saw Lost so, like others, missed any sort of references. Just hope they don't solve the mystery so soon but keeps the show engrossing so it'll last all season.

Mom didn't see any interest in it. But told me it was "right up my alley".... Guess 'cuz I'm into all that science fiction stuff.....

I'm watching the rerun, and the one character said the meeting was at "six o'clock in the morning, don't ask me why [so early]".

So that tells me there was a reason significant to the story for the meeting to be at that time of the morning.

Yeah, that was a surprise!:rotfl:

It's on again right now.

Right now DH and I are guessing that it somehow got loose from the zoo, but I'm sure it could be something far more interesting.

I saw the Oceanic sign right away too. I probably got a little too excited :rotfl:

I think that the season finale is going to take place on the date of the flash forwards, so the characters will see what'll happen, and the rest of the show will be dealing with the aftermath, I guess. I'm surprised that they're having the show reach the date so soon.

I'm really excited for it, though. And hopefully it will at least somewhat fulfill my Lost fix after it goes off the air this season.

My guess is the kangaroo is a reference to the LOST Oceanic flight's origination - Australia. I noticed the Oceanic billboard also. I'm a LOST junkie, lol. I also noticed a bus with a Desparate Housewives ad on it. No, I don't watch that show! This pilot intrigued me but once they figure out what happened, where will it go? I will keep watching unless it gets ridiculous. I watched it in HD on my flat screen and it looked incredible, just like LOST. I hope it lives up to the hype in the long run.

Would it not be cool if the season finale took place on the 29th of April. And it's a thursday so it could happen.

Maybe the kangaroo is linked to one of the flash fowards somehow or it just got loose from the zoon?

Wasn't there a guy wandering around in his underwear, then it panned to the main guy, and when the camera returned there was a kangaroo there instead? Or am I totally making up the fact that the underwear guy and the kangaroo were in the same spot with 5 seconds in between?

I love the fact that they're not working too hard to please those of us who read the book.
So you know what happens????????????????
Just the opposite: They're not making the television show like the book. I know what happened in the book, yes, but my point was that it is apparent that that will spoil nothing about what's going to happen in the television series.

I never watched Lost, so am I missing something in FF? Are they somehow connected? It would definitely put me at a disadvantage.
There are some in-jokes. Nothing you need to know to enjoy FlashForward. Indeed, the only inclusions that might matter, people think, is that there might be some clues to what is going to happen on Lost within FlashForward.

Someone pointed out in another forum that April 29 is not May, and that that indicated that ABC didn't have enough confidence in the series to plan on having it run during May sweeps.

That's of course utterly and completely ridiculous.

First, May sweeps begins on April 29, and runs through May 26.

Second, I think this gives FlashForward the chance to spend May 6 and probably May 13 as well, dealing with the aftermath of the even, and perhaps setting up Season 2.

I could like it, but I can't deal with another show (Lost) that always leaves more questions than answers each episode. One is enough to keep up with.

I think the difference, though, is that FlashForward seems to be driven to a much more organized approach, with questions being posed, deliberately intended to be answered by the end of the current season (with perhaps a few new questions posed in the last few episodes of the season, to carry forward into the next season). Lost was pretty disorganized by comparison, with a lot of questions raised for the sake of raising questions, and some effort made to answer many of those questions at 'some point' later, not necessarily within a limited period of time, and there is a great chance that Lost will end with a lot of questions unanswered.
