Last night I caught the end of a radio interview with Simon and he said this 3rd season is the worst auditions that they have had.....I can't wait.

I can't wait for this show to be on. It's the only reality show I watch (if you consider this to be a reality show). Anyways, I think the auditions are the best part of the series. I lose it every time the commercial comes on where the kid sings Aint No Mountain High Enough and then ends with "I guess that's a no then." Oh my God, I think he is so funny and a horrible singer, I can't wait!

I think it would be a great idea to have an official AI thread b/c I'm sure there will be lots to talk about once the show starts!

I am obssessed with AI. I can't wait for it to start! I will even admit that I went to see the American Idol tour ( it actually was pretty bad)

I like to watch AI, but I don't watch the first three shows because they are the auditions, and I don't like the auditions.
What I want to know is who told some of these people they have talent?

Official AI thread here I come!!! Definately make this one official. Knowing that my sister and I talk about the show for HOURS, I can only imagine there'll be a lot to talk about. Sadly, I have a sorority meeting during the first episode... BUT you know I'll be taping it. I can't even wait!!

MY GF and I have both been addicted to American Idol. We'll be watching, because the "bad" auditions are actually my favorite part of the show. I guess that makes me evil and sadistic.

I guess I'm worse that you because I took my sons to the AI concert and thought it was pretty good! (I had a different opinion about their televised Christmas special though!)

Well, we must be evil and sadistic too, because the bad auditions are our favorite part of the show also! I can't believe that some of those people actually think they sound good. Remember Keith? I miss him.....

we watched the auditions last year and roared at some of those auditions...i wished i would have watched the reaminder of the season though! i would have loved to have discovered Clay along with the rest of the world!! i think that i'll be watching this time around though...

Would someone please tell me what was wrong with the girl who was in the 82nd Airborne? DH and I thought she was cute and bubbly and had a nice voice and they rejected her out of hand???? I wonder if they want to avoid anyone in the active military since there was some flak about Josh last year. Oh well, it was fun watching all those "delusional" people as Simon put it!
