We'll Fantasia won. They are both winners. Diana is still a winner.
This year's American Idol sucked. Just listening to the whole group of 12 sing together wasn't all that great to me. Some of the previous contestants weren't that good. It was great to hear Kelly, Tamarya & Latoya sing. I miss Latoya! This season was not as good as last years. I read that Simon is looking at changing the voting process and age limit for next season. He feels 16 yrs old is too young.

I miss LaToya, too. I thought she was a shoe-in winner. I also like Amy and George. Oh well. I am not passionate about either Fantasia or Diana like I was about Kelly and Clay.

Yay Fantasia! The girl is way talented, a well deserved win.

And Diana should be very proud too. Such talent for such a young girl, not to mention a whole lot of class as a person. She obviously is very strong to have stood up to that sort of pressure week after week at only 16 years old.

Well, I'm glad it's over so I can go get a life now LOL. I am slightly dissappointed, but not real surprised. I'm sure they will both do well. I still don't think they are as good as Kelly, although Diana could be in a couple of years.

No comments on Tamyra and her shaky shaky rendition of The National Anthem??? I was surprised, I've never heard her falter like that.

Congrats to fantasia...(not that I wanted her to win)

My DH is home tonight and watched the show for maybe the second time. He said "I can't believe that raspy voiced girl just won...she's terrible"

I would have liked to see LaToya win. I enjoyed watching them sing "Impossible Dream" Diana, Fantasia, Kelly and Ruben. It was very nice and brought tears to my eyes.

It was really fun watching all 12 up there. John showed more animation then he did when he was competing....I just love Matt and Amy.


SO what are we all going to talk about now?????

I'm happy for fantasia. I think she did an awesome job. diana was good too, and has a lot of class. (a little to sweet sounding for my tastes, but good). maggie

Yay Diana didn't win, my 2 votes counted for something!

I almost missed American Idol tonight because I had to go to a lecture for extra credit. I recorded it so I can watch the good parts later. I came home around 9:30 so I made it in time to see who won.

I really don't like either of them. Diana has been my least favorite person since the very beginning (well after Leah), so she's the one person I definitely didn't want to win.

I voted twice for Fantasia, but no, I don't think I would buy any of her albums. I voted because I would rather hear her singing on the radio, and would much much MUCH rather see her all over the media. I can't imagine how annoying Diana would have been if she won.

I think I'm the only person in my house who was happy with the outcome, but not as happy if I would have been if Clay had won last year!

I'm actually really happy with the outcome!! Heck, I'd probably buy at least that first single (gave me chills last night). GO FANTASIA!

I must admit being impressed with Diana's poise tonight. Not a lot of 16 year olds would have been able to handle themselves as well as she did.

I was so happy to hear Kelly sign again. I think she is the only one of the contestants that I have seen on any of the seasons to ever hit every single song. LOVE HER!

Looking back on it, I think I preferred this season to last season in that more of these singers really "wowed" me this time around: Fantasia, LaToya, Jennifer, Diana (sometimes), Amy (sometimes). Last season not so much.

Can't wait to see if they make any changes to the voting/selection process next season. Did i hear they were going to Anchorage for one of the audition sites?!? Searching for the next Jewel??

Sigh... now what will I do with my Tuesday nights? Oh yeah, when do Big Brother and the Amazing race start again??

Guess what??? I just realized I voted for the winner in each of the three finales. Wow, how cool am I? Pretty cool, huh? Next year maybe they should just call me & I'll tell 'em who the winner is.

I was not happy with the final two. But I would have been happy if either of them won. Congratulations to both of them! I kind of liked Diana's version of "belive" a little better than Fantasia's. But I voted for Fantasia, because she has more talent. I'm not crazy about her voice, but I'm glad she won. La Toya should have won the whole thing. Oh well, that's what you get when you let America vote.

And I am so tired of people saying that they are going to boycott American Idol next year. Do they think that it really going to matter to anyone else? The rest of the country will watch it, so don't worry. People are taking this way too seriously. And it has gotten really ugly at times. I didn't agree with a lot that went on this season. But I was there every Tuesday and Wednesday night with bells on! It was certainly exciting to see the outcome of each week. I found myself yelling at the tv in disbelief quite a few times. And I look forward to next season.

This is the 1st I've watched and listening to the top 12 made me laugh so hard. These people are TERRIBLE!!!!

CAMILLE??? TOP 12??? She is the WORST singer I've ever heard!!!

That foreign girl (the really tall skinny one) - AWFUL!!!!

JASMINE?? IS Hawaii deaf?? Between her and Camille - I've gotta wonder..

AMY??? No matter what her hair color is - she's not TOP 12 talent!!

Diana!!???? When I heard her sing the "Believe" song, I had to stop what I was doing because I couldn't believe someone that SCREAMS so loud and so out of tune could make it to the top 2. What is she going to blame her sining on tonight?

And Latoya! Ah, LaToya - listening to her made me furious. She should have been the winner...

But I am happy with Fantasia. She was the best of the bottom 2.

This is a frustrating show to watch. I prefer that other show on the WB with the judges purposely chosing the rotten singers!

How close were the votes last night? I didn't watch the whole thing.

Also, when they had Diana sing "I believe" then Fan sing some other song I KNEW Fan was the winner. They wnated her to sing "I believe" for her finale song. How lame can Fox be? So obvious! I could have stopped watching there but alas I have no life!!
