ok-Disney Destinations sent me a postcard size folded letter with the clouds and castle on ithere is what it says...Your dvd is on the way but you can start planning now (in mouse ears above my name and address).Inside it has a pin code of 15 numbers only and offers standard room at value $99 per night Sun thru Thurs stays 3/30-5/21/08..then on the bottom it offers 20 percent off entire package with these dates-1/6-2/2,2/24-3/1,3/30-4/12,8/10-9/27,10/19-11/1,11/9-11/15,and 12/7 thru 12/13/08.
I had a vacation booked under my married name....this came because under my maiden name I had sent for the DVD which came a day or two ago..so to really get a discount you have to order the DVD! Hope that helps you guys....

Maybe that's what I need to do to get a code. I've called for quotes 2xs (and to check for a code), after each call I received an email from Disney Destinations, but with no code. The first email was just a welcome email. The second one had an offer for some free personalized Disney letterhead. (The link however with it didn't work )

I hadn't requested a dvd since I had asked for one last year. Maybe I'll do that today, and see what happens.

Oh, my goodness. I just got the DVD in the mail the other day. I ordered it in my youngest daughter's married name. I hope, hope, hope that we get a code. This is the first time we've ordered in a different family name for the same address.

I ordered a DVD last week and recieved the same post card yesterday. But, the one I recieved said something about $82 a night and then the 20% off seemed to me a room only discount. Call me crazy with all of the 40% off codes going around I really want something a little better. But, if nothing comes up anytime soon a will go ahead and book something with the 20% off.

I sent off for the planning DVD last week, I have no code attached to my name (just called yesterday) and I have not gotten the DVD or Discount Code in the mail yet...I am still looking for a 40% off like everyone else!

I got my DVD( Order one each year, I have 5 of them, one for each of the past 5 years) last week & no offer. The dates mentioned in a previous post are one day short of mt vacation May 20-28. As usual, I luck out.

I received my DVD a couple of weeks ago, but not codes yet. I even called a couple of days ago to see if I had one in my name, but no luck. Maybe I should try my son's name....

FYI-If it means anything..I ordered the DVD in my married name to which I have a trip planned and in my maiden name to which there is no trip planned.So the dvd came in my married name ..no pin and the pin came in my maiden name announcing the dvd will be coming but start planning now...I had a free complimentary night through exec offices and when I spoke to the lady there she said if any offers come my way she would call.I called her so she would not forget and long behold I got 40 percent or more off the room only! Calling does work ps under my married name that disccount came up!

GOT IT!!!!!

I never get anything but I got THIS!!! I ordered the DVD at the very beginning of January, still haven't gotten the DVD but i just got the mailer with the 20% off PIN!!!!!

I do not know if this has anything to do with it but....

I registered like I was a new guest with a new email & passcode, same name & same address, just a new email & password. I said I haven't been to Disney since 2000 (big lie) & I was thinking about going in November (true). I ordered the DVD then I priced out packages at different resorts & saved the offers.

I priced Deluxes & the Swan/Dolphin.

I did get an email from Disney Destinations thanking me for ordering the DVD then I got one yesturday about my free letterhead!!!!!

Hope this was the secret trick!!! Let me know if it works for anybody else, it can't hurt to try my method.

I have NEVER received a PIN from Disney, I have gone 7 times in the last 5 years so I figured it was time to start fresh & re-register all over again with a different email.

Got the DVD about 2 weeks ago. Yesterday, a brochure from Disney Destinations w/ the $82 rate & a pin for 20% off for the same dates listed in here. The outside was a welcome note for my family & said that the DVD we ordered was on its way.

It looks like just the room only....

CR 7 nights standard room only quote from CRO: $2299.50
Disney Website 7 nights rack rate room only: $2876.00---20% off

CR package; standard room 7 nights, 4 day base tix 2 adults, 2 kids, basic dining---CRO quote--$3806.52

Disney Website rack rate for same package---$4381.36.


So it looks like the 20% is only off the room, either way I save over $500.00!!!
