With Disney gobbling up all of the AK contracts below 110 PP, would it be smart to offer more even if the seller is priced below current ROFR rates? Is this something that anyone else has done?

I bought a BLT contract for $20 over asking. The sellers had it listed for $80pp. I had already had a few taken at $106 or below, so I know $80pp would just be a waste of my time. $100pp was still rolling the dice though, but that one actually made it through. It was my 5th or 6th try at BLT!

If it is a contract which is perfect for you and it isn't totally out of the ball park, then yes you could offer more. There really is no rhyme or reason why DVC takes certain contracts and not others. It might be a supply and demand of their wait list, so if the contract you want has the points someone on the waitlist needs -- they could take it even if you offer more.

Here at The Timeshare Store, Inc.® we have had a handful of buyers pay more than asking price over the years on certain contracts. I have seen it done so I would say it is a good idea.

I would offer what you feel is a good deal. Whether that is more or less than asking.
One our contracts, I offered more per point, but then had the seller pay closing costs. Cost wise it was a wash, but it made the price perpoint look higher.
No idea if it made any difference, but saw other contracts at similar prices taken and ours passed. Could all be luck.
