off topic

Hi. this is off topic.
I am new to these boards and have learned so much GREAT info. from everyone here I just wanted to say THANK YOU.
I have an amazing first time trip planned in oct. to RPR.

Now the off topic part: within the last 10 days I have spent 1,500 dollars in vet bills and am looking at another 5,000 for a back surgery for a slipped disk in my beagle. If she ends up having the surgery ( we will know within about 10 days ) then of course my vacation will be cancelled to pay for her surgery. Surgery is not a question I will definately spend the money if we have to.

I am asking anyone and everyone to please pray for her recovery. I hope that this is politically allowed here.

I know what it is like!!! We have two expensive cocker spaniels. Poor Katy, put your feet up and get better so Jen can go to Universal.

Hi Jen. I am a pet parent too. One of mine has a chronic condition and I often tell him before I leave the house, "Mommy's off to work so she can feed you and pay your vet bills!"

I'll be thinking of you and Katy, and hoping for the best!

I would do the same for my cat as well. She is my only "child" and I absolutely cannot make a day without her (sad, I know).

I also own a Beagle (her name is Trixie) that I absolutely love. She ran off for 2 days once (even though she is an inside dog) and I couldn't stop crying and going nearly crazy, so I can only imagine what you are going through. I can't blame you for doing all you can for your 'baby'. I would do the same. You can bet you and your beagle will be in my prayers tonight. Be sure to let us know what happens. I have faith that all will turn out for the better.
