hey, I'm going to the pin event. Now it is on the correct board!

I have a story to tell.
I injured my knee the day I came home from FL and even with my wonderful nursing skills I wasn't getting better. So I went to an Orthopedist yesterday.
I have a torn meniscus.
The Doctor told me that there are two ways to treat it.

1) take out the meniscus that is damaged and replace it with some artificial spongy type material.... or

2) arthroscopic surgery to repair the meniscus. But since there is no blood supply to the meniscus healing is very slow in the ELDERLY!!!!
I can't believe he said that. ELDERLY. That 28 year smart-alec Dr called me "THE ELDERLY"!!!!!!!!!!!!
I may have just turned 50, and may now be a member of AARP, but I am not ELDERLY.
So I have to decied whether to hop around at the event or have the surgery and bring Richie's ECV onto the plane with me.

I hope you are feeling better. Look on the bright side, now is the perfect time to go back to WDW. You get to use the electric scooter and cut in line for all the rides!!

Peggie - doctors just dont have much tact, do they? If you bring the scooter, just think of all the fun you can have chasing Ed and Jeff around the World Showcase. Hmm... can I borrow it?

Almost every line at WDW is "mainstreamed". This means people with wheelchairs or ECVs use the line just as anyone else.

do those ECV's have turbo boost?
although I don't think the boys can run very fast...
would be cool to do a flame thrower out of the "tailpipe"!
That way you can beat the masses to the ride lines too!

He said you were old, he didn't say you weren't good looking. Maybe if you quit calling him Dr. Pip Squeak or asking if the treatment included leeches or burying pig fat in the back yard under a full moon he would feel better. I know, next time you go in for a consultation, wear your "I'm Britney Spears" T-shirt. If you are hobbled up for the event I'll be happy to help you cross the streets. I used to do that for ladies in your age group all the time when I was a boy scout.
