That's so strange.. The words "no school for kids" strike terror in my heart. I will get up early, clear out the paths, uncover the cars, brave treacherous roads, all for the goal of GETTING RID OF THE BEASTS. Off to daycare with you! Begone!

Can you tell that 2 days of trying to entertain the Beasts, without being able to go out, has run me ragged?

=====

Speaking of which, Little Beast apparently wants to be a superhero. What is it with superheroes and wearing underwear on the outside of their outfits? And why does my small Beast insist on wearing her big sister's underwear either on her head, her arms, or on the outside of her outfits?

She even insisted on wearing the underwear on the outside to daycare last week. The daycare people think we are all insane.

Hmmm....children superheroes (with costumes to boot) and Dad who has been researching secret passages. Very interesting..... :stir:

Admit, you've always wanted to have a secret passage installed in your house, to your very own Batcave.

Here's a link to a company that apparently designs, sells, and installs secret passages and compartments. It includes such cliches as the "pull on the candlestick" "twist the vase" or "push in the right book" switches (or more techy fingerprint and retinal scans) to open disguised bookshelf doors, reveal secret boxes in tables, or slide open secret compartments in alcoves.

I particularly like the computer animation of the chair that folds back to reveal a corkscrew slide into a room below (granted, I have no idea how you'd get back out again).

When I was in elementary school my friend lived in this huge old farmhouse. It really did have a secret passage way. It was so cool. We could go from the basement to the attic through the inside secret passage way. There were other passages off to the kitchen, a hallway and another room. I drove by one summer and saw that the house is now a Inn. I wonder if those passage ways are sealed up. Can you just imagine getting a suprise guest during the middle of the night, rofl.

Can I ask a question? If people do not know how to drive in snow, why do they live in area that will get snow? Are they there to put me on TILT for work? In addition, it is not a good idea to stop on a snowy hill when you are going up. That is just basic Drivers Ed from High School.

Also, please note those same people who cannot drive in snow also use their cellphones when they drive in the snow.

My usual commute to work takes 5 minutes - it took me 45 minutes today.

Thanks for listening.

travelled around London today even though we were only going to the London aquarium but in the end went to the houses of parliment, big ben, downing street (with some protesters about no digging in the brick lane area wherever that is), buckinham palace (or however it's spelt) and trafalgor square (again however it's spelt) so i've had a fun day today :)

Oh! How fun! :goodvibes How is my favorite Londoner, Big Ben?

You must have had a full day. :)

I'm working diligently trying to finish my report cards, but VMK is making it very difficult! I keep typing "world" for "word!" I think I'm going to need to read them extremely closely to ensure I don't accidentally leave any "VMK speak" in them! :teeth:

Can any of you that got some snow this weekend send some back my way? I really want to go sledding this year, but I haven't had a chance yet! And a snow day would be fine with me if you want to include that, as well! ;)

Hmmm...can't help you with the snow, since it's blazin' hot here. :sunny:

But good luck getting your report cards done! :teeth:

Yes, I believe it is! In that case... :offtopic: lol Let's try not to turn this off topic thread on topic, ok? ;)
