lol BubbasFriend I was gonna say the same thing...I think it is funny though ;) So where are you all going?? :wizard: Hope you have a great trip!

DisneyFreak- I hate saying that...cant I just call you Princess??? Miss talking with you, hope you are on tonight when I get home from work. I am in need of minute cake!!!

Tishke my dear- Mom's are SO stubborn! I know you are over there today taking care of her...please try and convince her to get to the hospital. And make sure you give DH an extra big hug because I am sure he is tired from his long night :)

Fly- Dude that freakin' rocks!!! Congrats! You are so passionate about your music and that makes you a wonderful person. Music is important in life (my opinion). I pray that it all works out for you!

And on a sidenote...there is NOTHING worse than counting down the final days before your big vacation. Every trip to WDW I get really excited...well this time is 10 times more-so and we aren't even going to WDW...it is time for VEGAS! Maybe it is because DH and I have never been, but the anticipation is killing me! My mind is far from work and I am a walking zombie with the customers when I am there. Actually, I probably seem like a kid on crack or something because I am hyper all the time (more so than normal). So I have been doing busy work like sizing out clearance (yay for me :rolleyes1 ) and making sure my denim folds are perfect (yay for me again). So yeah...are we there yet????

Of course you can call me Princess. :) Disneyfreak92 is a username I have been using for years, and VMK wouldn't let me have it. But now I am glad because PrincessLynda is much more flattering. :rotfl:

And yes, mothers can be stubborn! A few months ago, my mother thought she had a tiny piece of shrimp caught in her throat. When she called the patient advisory nurse, she was told not to drive herself to the ER, so she drove to our house (20 minutes from hers) so that DH and I could take her to the ER near us because she had more faith in that ER than she did in the one hear her. Turns out there was nothing in her throat by the way, but DH teases her about it every chance he gets. :rotfl:

I'm like totally stoked right now. I just got word from the Technical Theater director that I may have a new part-time job lined up...being a Student Conductor/Assistant to the Conductor for our local professional symphony! It's not set in stone yet (I still have to meet with the guy I'm working with), but the job may include conducting the symphony for rehearsal.

Oh my gosh...I think right now would be a good time for the "hand fluttering" and the "leik omgs!" It's the best way to express how I'm feeling.

LEIK OMG!! OMG!! OMG!!

For some reason, I did not see this until today, but I wish you all the luck, Fly! :goodvibes I'm sure you would have a blast doing that!

Yeah, I know...it drives me nuts, too, but I thought the school color rule would override the correctness of the grammar. LOL!

We are going back to Illinois State University at Bloomington-Normal. It's smack dab in the middle of IL. I'm soooooo excited! I think this will be my first time back since graduation three years ago. We've already got our plan in place to visit all the old hangouts! :teeth:

Oh, I forgot to mention...I think we might make inaugural t-shirts with "Back to Skool" on them. This is so my sense of humor, as most of us going back are educators...I think it would be pretty funny for us to wear these shirts! LOL!

Bubbasfriend! You will be 45 minutes from Pengin and I! How long will you be there?

The answer is NOPE....you know who you are!

But that means more kungaloosh! :drinking1

And I also hear practice makes perfect!

i feel so sad right now

i was on the bus coming home from school with a friend and we felt a bump

The Dangers of Dr. Seuss

I was introducing DD3yo to the wonders of Dr. Seuss and rhyming, and was very proud when she started rhyming her own (mostly nonsense) words.

DD: "Daddy, I can rhyme! Rocket, locket, pocket, mocket, docket..."

Me: "Very good! That's great!!!"

DD: "Daddy, I can rhyme more! Luck, duck, muck, puck, buck..."

Me: "OK, let's play a different game now."

You really need to keep a journal! You have some great stories to tell! :)

Oh no! How horrible! I hope that the boy is okay. Please update. :guilty:

Thank you! Funny that I only thought to inflict the stories on you poor hapless individuals, and not to save them, lol.

Perhaps I'll start collecting them so I can inflict them on my daughter's boyfriends <SHUDDER> someday... Or, merely hold them as threats... Yeah, that'll work!

:grouphug: to you for being there for that!

Random Good News: My final grades for the quarter are in and I got a 4.0 this term In other good news, DS6 just got accepted into the gifted program here so we are double banana dancing tonight

Random Roll Your Eyes News: Schools are canceled here on Monday and Tuesday to help conserve power and gas due to Rita (I'm in GA). Umm...Okay, what rocket scientist came up with this idea?? Now parents have to find a place for their kids to go all day, since if school is closed, so are school run programs like after school. (Thank goodness I am no longer working!) So, two days extra with DS home....I would say I would take him downtown for a while to the big park in the city, but then I really wouldn't be conserving gas, now would I? Corpse Bride on Monday here we come

Wow! We're heading off to WDW in a week and a half or so, and just for the heck of it, DW has been calling the dining reservations sporadically, and...

...can you believe that we got Cinderella Royal Table for a princess lunch for 12 days from now?

We didn't really intend to do it (which is why we didn't try it at 90 or 90+10), but then thought it'd be kind of fun. We've never been to one before, and DD3yo has a small collection of princess dresses, which I guess we need to bring in now. Beast Princesses!

Woot!

OMG WHAT DO I DO!! I think i lost my retainer and it's in my jacket i think that is lost!!

PANICS!!

Hi!

Just found out that one of my two extended families got out of Texas...one family can't or didn't get out...I'm not sure of all the details. Bottom line...prayers and pixie dust for them, as they will be riding out the storm.

Thanks.

Lisa

My thoughts and prayers are with your family and everyone in that area.

:cheer2: Way to Go!!! :cheer2:

On a lighter note, my neck has turned red for the weekend. Last night we saw Ricky Scaggs in concert at the state fair and tonight we go see the Monster Truck Nationals and demo derby!
