I think you can access some forums -- AND post to them -- without being a TUG member. I know I posted to the Wyndham forum before I became a member. But you cannot access ALL of TUG without joining.

yeah, i was unclear. you have to register to post but you don't have to pay for membership to post.

the only thing you lose by not paying for membership is access to the sightings board, IIRC. hugely useful as a timeshare owner for learning bulk-bank patterns and for getting an idea of what trades might become available at what times...but not essential in the research process.
