Off to Pongo's Paradise

Wahoo I am off to Pongo's Paradise for a long weekend, Flight leaves at 3:00. I can't wait!!

Hop on a plane come on down! It won't be a fun trip its going to be more work and meetings but I am sure I will find some time to have some fun. Its myself and another board member flying in for meetings with the county but it will still be fun to just get away for a quickie girls trip! LOL

Im Back... No we did not do any parks. I had to fly in for Meetings with the county and homeowners for the HOA. Its not like I don't have enough on my plate but I have become the President of the HOA for our neighborhood.... crazy I know but its been a new learning experience. I will have to fly in 4 times a year for the meetings with the county, so it was very busy and I am so tired today I can barley keep my eyes open....
So it was all work and not much if any play...

Oh geez... 4x a year!? I'm running for the HOA board for Windsor Hills Resort right now, the townhome board (there's 3 there). It's just being turned over from Pulte to the homeowners finally. Thing is, they're not very clear on what our roles and responsibilities are, and what we need to do. I keep asking how often are meetings? What do we need to do? 1-2 meetings a year would be good, 4 would be a pain! LOL

Hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew!

Well the HOA board will have at least 2 a year but I also will be at the 4 meetings involving the District and the common areas. Its quite interesting. I can hopefully schedule the HOA meetings to be in combo with some of the other meetings... but how bad is it to have to have more trips to Florida that will really upset me ya know. My problem is that when my home is booked I now have to find another place to stay.

That's actually a serious concern for me too! LOL They typically announce the HOA / association meetings maybe a month beforehand...and that's not nearly enough time to book a stay in our home, I'll be back to being a rentor! LOL Especially if they do it at a busier time...could get interesting. I don't want to have to pay peak rates so I can go participate after all, it's not a vacation either... and it's not like our home is empty, ever really.

Then go for being the President and you can set the meetings when you want them! The one's for the District are set by the District but I know them already for next year so thats not too bad. I then can schedule a Home owners meeting for the same time as one of them and kill 2 birds with one stone! LOL

Sorry you had to work, but I'd rather be working at Orlando than anywhere else
