It may not be big, but we get a Wish!
Tummies full, we needed to catch a few things before heading back for a rest. The problem was that the sky was not on our side. Dark clouds seemed to have come out since we last saw daylight (remember this). We still wanted to hit a few of our favorites (and a some not so favorites too…just cause we could) before we high tailed it back to our home away from home. We again decided to do a split, and I am not referring to the kind that requires flexibility, cause that I just don’t have.
DH and our sweet lil’l Diz headed over to battle the galatica, or was it storm troopers? Anyhoo, they took off for some motion sickness fun of fun and I took our sweet lil’l Tink to do what I do best... Shop!
This time it was the Playhouse Disney outdoor dump shop. I was in High-Ho gear to find my lil’l Tink a Doodle Bops, JoJo or Playhouse Disney (PHD, as we like to refer to it) CD, so she could continue her dancing pleasure in our real home, which is not away from home. Also on my list was possibly a t-shirt for the lil’l Diva, PHD loving girly girl. Also was a Mermaid gift for one of our All boy, ruff and tumble, crazy boyish boy neighbors who seems to have discovered his softer side and found himself a wee bit of a crush on a red headed princess of the sea, who’s name shall remain unmentioned. We wouldn’t want to embarrass the boyish boy, now would we?
Collections in tow, DH called and said they were done with their fight for the Earth and were ready meet up. So I hightailed it over to them so we could see ourselves a 3D movie, Muppet style. Funny thing is, although we over 30 year olds know who those Muppets are, but I’m not sure how many under that do...? I realize that a few of them do make cameo appearances on Sesame Street now and then again, but they just aren’t too well known. For sure my kiddos haven’t a clue that we used to watch those Muppets religiously. I used to know just what exact time they came on the TUBE. Always trying to figure out just how they lived, worked, stayed upright without falling down.
Anyhoo…Luckily we just missed the whole sit in the room for what seems like forever, waiting for our show to begin, while we wait for the pre-show to end. Again, Tink refused to wear the spectacles.
Again.
But we all still generally enjoyed it. Blurred vision and all for Tink.
Naptime seemed to becoming a thing of the distant past. Yet, I was still determined to hit it. After all Tink without a nap is just not a pretty sight. By this point of the trip, we were all getting pretty Tinked out. So a nap to DH and I sounded just great! So we headed for the OUT, which happens to also be the IN. On our way out I saw this little camera shop and just HAD to stop. Yep, I like to shop. All week I had been eyeing a camera neck strap around the parks. It was a MICKEY Head neck strap! Every shop I peak a boo’d into never had it. Most of the sales people had never ever seen it. But sure they must have it a special MGM, Disney Studios or whatever you want to call it today Camera shop!
Nope.
No Soup for me.
But the nice CM decided to dote a little Magic upon our family, since I was so sad about the non-existent MICKEY HEAD Camera neck strap.
The nice camera store CM Man asked my lil’l Diz Man if he would give him an autograph. Told him that he thought he knew him from some famous movie…he just couldn’t put his finger on just exactly what one it was…
It made my lil’l Diz’s day.
It made my day.
It made my DH’s day.
However small, we got some magic.
And for being such a great sport the CM handed my Lil’l Diz a Pin pack, one to keep and one to give and make someone else’s day a bit brighter.
By this time the parade was well on it’s way to our location. We decided that nap time (on time) was out the window. We had procrastinated too long. We might as well find a piece of pavement and sit on it. So that is what we did. With grey skies glooming above, we sat. I prepared the double-wide rain shield for what seemed to be in our future. But before we could enjoy our seats in the front of the park, Tink & Lil’l Diz Man Spotted a sight of something they had been asking for from the moment we stepped foot into one of the parks.
BALLOONS!
Not just you garden variety round latex versions, either. These where almost the size of Tink! I kid you not! So my DH finally caved in and went to buy one for each of them. When he came back, Tink was rewarded with a gigantic Princess version and Lil’l Diz sported a Lightening McQueen of life-like proportions.
So we sat, Tink strapped in, waving at all of her princess ‘friends’. Lil’l Diz smiling from ear to ear as each of his favorite characters paraded by.
He got to touch the Green Rangers Hand...NO WAY! This was great excitement for his day!
Again, this was what Disney was made for…
When the parade was finished passing by, we jumped up and ran to the boat to bring us back HOME. It was then that the skies opened up and the dark clouds that gloomed above showed their stuff. We made it to the first boat back to BWV. We were just in time, because once back HOME in our dry room with a great view, the rain poured and poured.
It was then that we all decided it was a great time to take a much needed family nap.
