"Off the Map" Tour for D23 Members

Another thought...since it's dinner and drinks (which for most D23 events means beer and wine) it makes me think Disney catering would be handling it, since Disneyland restaurants don't serve alcohol. Or, they are taking you out of the DL park, since it just says one of the most unique restaurants on the resort. Disney catering did all of the Magic and Merriment Meals, even the one we ate in Columbia Harbour House.

I wish there was a way I could go to this!

"Sold Out

We appreciate your interest in joining us for this event and hope that we will see you at one of our other D23 Member exclusive events. Thanks very much."

Dammit. It was sold out in SECONDS! I refreshed right at 10AM, put in my member number and 2 guests, and then next page it says the tickets are GONE.

Is this always what happens with D23 events? This bums me out.

Same here. I clicked right when the ticket link appeared after repeatedly hitting "refresh."

I smell a rat.

This has happened with other D23 events in the past. Some people seem to have the magic touch that they get tickets everytime though.

I had two browsers going, as the ONE thing my wife wants more than anything is to see the Dream Suite. I submitted my ID and number of attendees and the site said "You are running multiple browsers, please close and resubmit". I closed and resubmitted, and *POOF*. I'm devestated. Legitimately upset as I could FINALLY get her inside the Suite. Unreal.

Me too! I was right there when the click here came on, got to the next page then it went to sold out. Dang it that was fast!:confused3:eek::tink:

Same for me. I kept refreshing until I saw the link to order tickets, then it took forever for the page to load. And when it loaded, it said Sold Out

Oh well...hopefully they will hold another one soon.

It's clearly a case of Who You Know. And I don't Know those people.

The only good thing about tickets selling that fast is it likely means they will hold the event again, and offer more tickets next time. 2010 Magic and Merriment sold out in less than 20 seconds, so in 2011 they doubled the number of tickets. One session still sold out in about an hour, but at least it felt more fair!

So bummed - we got in trouble for multiple browsers too, which I've never seen before. Sold out so quickly! Hope they offer it again!

I was able to order the tickets. Like many of you, I also had the page open and kept continually refreshing until the link came up, then I entered all the info as quickly as possible. DH has me enter the information because I type very quickly. Last time he tried to do it for a different event and he was unable to get the tickets before they sold out. So we decided I need to be the one to do it this time. I think it took a minute or so for us to get everything entered, confirmed, and printed out.

Congratulations!!! I'm glad to hear that someone did actually manage to get tickets :thumbsup2

I can't wait to hear all about it. And could you please drop some gentle hints that there are a bunch of us that would like to go to and could they please schedule another date....very soon :rotfl2:

I got a message saying I was on the waiting list. Did anyone else get that?

I know of at least 6 people who are going. One person here from Disboards in this thread (with their husband), one person on D23 Facebook (with their wife), and 2 people from MiceChat.

So that's probably 20% of the guests on the tour right there.

Ethan

How can there be a waitlist if tickets (sold out) are non-refundable and non-exchangeable?

At 9:59 I hit refresh over and over.
It was not until 10:02 that the link appeared.
It took about 45 secounds for the order page to load.
I had copied my member number and pasted, and entered last name.
It came up the wait list was closed.
