So recently someone posted a trip report where they talked about going to the Curious George play area despite not being there with children and it actually sounded sort of cool, cool enough to add it into our plans. I had just assumed that we would give that a skip as we don't have kids.

This sort of made me think.. are there other things that I might assume we should skip or just might never occur to me to even try? So what are the things that you were surprised you enjoyed? We're two adults and we're there for a week with EP so I don't think time is that much of a consideration. What should we give a shot?

I always spend time in the Seuss section

Know the stories as my boys loved reading them and the tv show

The Seuss books are still being bought by parents and reading them to their kids

It is a very happy place for me
Bright colors, no straight lines in that area, quiet background music

On my last solo trip to Universal, I walked over to the kid area at Universal Studios just to look around and stumbled upon the Animal Actors Meet and Greet! You got to meet the animals in the show and take pictures with them. Was a lot of fun and I ended up watching the show later on which was really cute!

Known to many here, but easy to miss if traveling without children: "Me Ship the Olive" play area in IOA. There are (free) water canons on the upper deck overlooking the Barges ride. It's usually not crowded later in the evening, so you can spend some time soaking the the already soaked riders below. Bonus points when they plead not to get squirted. pirate:

We love doing that!!!

Not too many folks go up there.......and yes, it’s good the water canons are still free up there.........

I’m annoyed they made the water canons at the rides less value than before........we could drop $30 in quarters when our son was with us just soaking folks on Bluto’s........but when they changed it swapping cash for counters it wasn’t worth it......

I miss that though........always surprised us how annoyed some folks got........it was a water ride after all.......lol......
