Making our third (YAY!) Disney trip this year, we have annual passes and want to squeeze in one more trip.

Our last trips were a week long, but this one will just be Wednesday-Saturday... beginning March 1st.

We plan to get to Disney Wednesday afternoon, do some attractions at MK, then Thursday Animal Kingdom, Friday MK, and head home Saturday.

I'd like to squeeze in a short amount of time at Epcot if we can.

We are traveling with a 3.5 year old. We have done all the "typical" Disney rides/attractions, and are looking for some more off the beaten path things to do.

I started thinking this way because I realized we still haven't made it to Tom Sawyer's Island!!

Any other less popular attractions or events that you think a 3.5 year old and family would enjoy?

Feel free to discuss all parks, because our plans may change. :)

If I'm not mistaken F&G starts on March 1 this year and there is a cute little playground for that so you might want to do it.

Young kids like the Dance Parties that can be found in MK and AK. Might be something fun for them to do while some of the adults ride height-restricted rides.

How do we find the dance parties? Are they listed on the times guide?

We definitely need to go to the playground during flower and garden!

The Incredibles Dance Party is in Tomorrowland and will be listed on the Times Guide.

AK has Dance Parties in Dinoland and also at night in two different areas. Those will also be listed.

The play areas in Epcot can be found in Future World and in the World Showcase area.

If you haven't gone to Rafiki's Planet Watch or seen Flights of Wonder at Animal Kingdom, I'd recommend both. The first one not as high as the second one but both will be enjoyable for a 3.5 year old. The train ride to Conservation Station is enjoyable as you sit in long rows and are sideways and can see things as you travel. It's all narrated and you'll be able to see the backstage areas where the animal are kept at night. You might even seen some that aren't on the Safari at that moment. At Conservation Station, there are static displays (including one that encourages you to choose which stool sample came from what animal). And there's the Affection Section where you can pet goats and pigs in a very friendly environment (complete with Cast Members walking around to collect any droppings). There are sinks to wash your hands after so you don't have to concern yourself with that.

Flights of Wonder is a wonderful show with birds flying and showing their natural abilities so it's not a typical bird show. I would suggest with a 3.5 year old that you sit in the bleachers and not on the ground level as the view is better for height challenged people (I am one of them). I would also recommend you sit on the right hand side. After the show, kids of all ages are encouraged to come up to the front of the stage (not on the stage) and see some of the birds closer and ask questions of the handlers. There's really no rush to exit after the show so you can take your time.

There are great suggestions! We have not done Flights of Wonder, so it'll be on the must do list. We did Rafiki's Planet Watch but it will be almost a year ago since our last time we did it. It was fun for her but will probably be even more fun now that she's older and understands more.

Flights of Wonder would be a great show for her and I will mention that you can take in food and drink (we always do a beer and pretzel) so you can feed her while in there. Just make sure she understands the food is hers and not the birds' :)

Hahaha! I'll get that message across. Thank you!
