Can you see the Disney (or other theme park) fireworks from any of the off-site hotels? Or Orlando parks?

You can see fireworks offsite from many locations, however, the quality is poor. You can see them from the top floor of the airport parking garage. The Hyatt Grand Cyprys, HIFS,Orlando Marriot...etc....all have view points but you will be far away. If you want a close view ,free of charge, go to the Boardwalk at dusk. From there you can see the EPCOT, MGM and MAGIC Kingdom fire works from one location while you drink a beer and your kids play games. Have fun!!!!

We went to the Contemporary resort on our first night and watched for free at the top floor outside the California Grill. We told the guard we were going for drinks and watching the fireworks and we didn't have to pay anything but the drinks.

It is a great view. Try it.....:D

tazdem, that's just what I wanted to know. I guess I really don't have an idea for how big WDW is. So places like HIFS are still so far that viewing fireworks is not so good. I was wondering about choosing one particular cheaper off-site hotel over another -- not ONLY on whether one could view fireworks! LOL! Your Boardwalk idea sounds great! Thank you.
We will definitely do that 1 night.

PhotobearSam, I had heard about the Contemporary & its viewing vantage. But I'm reassured to hear from others who have just gone to have a drink & see the view. I won't feel so intimidated when we do it! Can kids go?

Any more viewing secrets out there?

We love fireworks & only see them once a year for Canada Day here. Too small a community to do Victoria Day too. I live relatively close to this once a year show, but sometimes getting the 4 little ones up & dragging them down (we're in valley with so many trees can't see) late after a full day of fun is too much. And that's IF the weather is good enough for it!

So, I figure we can get in enough fireworks-viewing in Orlando to last us awhile! And SOME distance is OK too as 1 of the DDs is quite sensitive to the noise. She'd be happy to be inside watching 1 night.

So, more suggestions welcome...

Kids can go in any bar resturant in Disney. Here is the best way to view the fireworks at the Boardwalk(times subject to change). Get there 1 hour before dusk, See some boardwalk sites. Stroll over to the bridge between Boardwalk and the Beach Club resort. watch the EPCOT fireworks. keep walking around the lake, as you get to the beach club pool, look over the Boardwalk Atlantic Dance company and watch the MGM fireworks. Finish walking around the lake and watch the MK fireworks over the BC ( they will be far in the distance) This schedule works when all the parks close at around 9 or 10 check a schedule when your there or ask someone who works there...good luck.....TAZ

Where are you in Ontario?

We are in Ottawa.

If you have any questions on this or others feel free to PM me or send me an e-mail. I'm a photographer and could answer questions on that subject too.

When are you going?

Hope you have a great time....
