Off site transit times

First off save the spiel about staying onsite. I know its better, but money is money.

Here is the question. If you drive yourself, and get free parking (AP), then how long would it take to get from a DD hotel to the parks? How would this compare to DD buses? Also, how would it compare to AllStar buses?

It depends on the park you are going to, but generally the drive time from DD should be about equal with the All-Stars for Epcot and MGM.

The ride is shorter from the All-Stars to AK and definitely much shorter to MK as you go directly to the park and don't have to stop at the TTC and get a monorail or ferry.

How do you go directly to the park from DD (thus avoiding the TTC)? I don't understand how you can do this if you are driving from DD? Can you help?

I think they meant by bus from All-Stars directly to MK entrance.

Generally the buses are good for MK (from DD or AllStars) because you bypass TTC.

I'd say DD hotels are significantly closer to Epcot than All-Stars, just as (as stated above) All-Stars are much closer to AK.

Most off-site hotels offer shuttle transportation to all the parks (for MK that means they drop you at TTC). Some hotels have their own shuttles, others use bus companies that operate from several hotels combined. The shuttle times, routes, and stops vary all over the board. Check with your hotel for specific info on what you can expect.
