Off-site ticket question

In an effort to try and streamline my vacation would it be advisable to link my tickets to MDE prior to going to the parks? I realize that I can't book FP+ but I've been reading several off-site posts that mention having CMs link tickets and then make reservations. Would it save time to have my family all linked with the tickets all linked so all I would have to do is simply make the FP+ reservations? I realize the time may be tiny, but on days of 9 crowd levels I want to get as much done as possible at RD...
