Off-site stay next week - is this the best strategy?

I'm planning on getting to the parks at rope drop and riding as much as we can in the first couple of hours. When it starts getting more crowded and we're sure what park we're going to be in later in the day, going to the kiosks and reserving our FP+. Is this the best option?

It is a good plan, if that fits your needs.

This expert recommends getting them first thing in the day. I don't see the point of wasting 30 minutes of peak riding time in the FP+ kiosk first thing in the morning.

that is an overall good plan as long as you don't have your heart set on getting FP for major headliners line TSM and Soarin

We found lines for the FP kiosks were significantly shorter early in the morning - our theory is they have everyone out for the first hour or 2 and then either give breaks or disperse them some other way.

Do have a plan of what FP you want so you're not deciding on the spot.
