I am looking for some off site restaurants that are reasonably priced (family of 5) and have good casual food. Near Universal studios would be a help.
Thanks Scott in MA.
Don't have first hand experience with this restaurant...but will get there if we have to walk from Universal.......Sweet Tomatoes....on Kirkland Road.
Family style buffet...reasonable prices...and I've heard rave reviews!!
I know that there are quite a few of the chain restaurants very near Universal. Last year we ate at Chili's and Olive Garden when we were visiting Universal.
If you don't have it already get the Orlando Magic Card from the tourist bureau. It's free and has many discounts for dining, lodging, and attractions.
The Pondarosa Buffet near Kirkland is really, really good for Breakfast!! And there are coupon books as you come in that have $1.00 per person off coupons in them.
We have a Sweet Tomatoes Restaurant near us. It is a Giant salad bar,[with the best small little tomateos try these!!] that you must navigate first,at the cash register you can ask for the Refillable soda cups, cheaper than small bottled drinks they display. There are hot foods, too, soups, and 3 or 4 fresh pasta dishes and breads and fruits and puddings. The only Meat my Dh could find was in the Sausage pasta dish. We were very pleased as we were there for brunch. But Dh nixed the place for Dinner,as he wants MEAT for Dinner.
Bahama Breeze is the only off site restaurant that we go to. We love it. You can order whole and half portions. The menu is huge and we have always had great service there.
