Off site restaurants near Windsor Hills

We'll be there next week and I was coming on here to post the same question.

Flippers sounds good for our first night. Any other non chain suggestions? We don't eat at Chili's, Outback, etc and prefer local places and things like thai food, good authentic mexican, etc.

Register online with Sweet Tomatoes and Miller's Ale House for discounts.
Also you can sign your kids up for Bob Evans free kids meal on their birthday and Steak N Shake kids club, we do not have either one near us, but I sign them up anyway and they take the bday postcards even if they're expired.:thumbsup2
Bahama Breeze also has an eclub I think.

This thread had a lot of good suggestions in it! We just got back a few days ago from a great stay at Windsor Hills. We did have pizza delivered from Giordano's for dinner one night. We had planned on going to Miller's Ale House but we had so many leftovers we skipped it. Since we loved WH so much I think we are staying there again in December instead of on-site. There are a lot of places I want to try! Bob Evans is VERY close. We eat there about once a week at home so we would never eat there on vacation, but it's a good option. Sign up for their emails, they are always sending coupons. The take out is really convenient too.

Before we checked in at WH we went to the Publix on Vineland Ave. Before getting groceries we called Outback and placed an order to go and picked it up after we did our grocery shopping. It was very convenient! I don't think we will do this next time though because traffic wasn't that great. I think next trip we will hit the Publix on Old Lake Wilson Rd.

Texas Roadhouse is near WH and is great!

For whoever was looking for a habachi restaurant....Kobe by Celebration is very good too.

For anyone that has been to windsor hills, could you please tell me what restaurants and grocery store are super close that traffic would not be an issue.

All the ones mentioned here are around 1 mile of WH, if you look on googlemaps you can see them:thumbsup2

Bob Evans is our go to place if we are low on $$ when we're down there. Everyone in my family likes their food and like you said it is CHEAP! :thumbsup2

We went to Bob Evans when we stayed at WH. I wouldn't recommend it. The restaurant was dirty, the servers were disinterested and acted like we were bothering them and the food was terrible.

Wow that stinks! We've eaten there 1-2 times every trip and always had great servers and yummy, fresh food.
:confused3
