Off-site restaurants near AKL

Can anyone recommend some good off-site restaurants near AKL (less than 15 minutes drive)? We're staying there for a week and i'm not sure I want to do the DDP and have to make reservations 6 months in advance etc.

Does anyone know of where I might find a map with this sort of info as well?

As you come out of AKL turn right and sgo down Sherberth Road to the 192 there you will find Red Lobster, Cracker Barrel, Outback Steakhouse and Sizzler to name a few

I second that recommendation - it's a fantastic map, really handy for showing you shops and restaurants. I have a slightly out-of-date one but it was still used every day on our recent trip
