Off Site Restaurant delivery to On site hotels?

Hi...Just curious because I never read about this anywhere. Can off site fast food/restaurants deliver food to Disney hotels? I always wondered, but could never find an answer.

Sure. We've ordered pizza many times. Disney pizza is horrible, so when our kids really want it, we order off-site.

Unfortunately, you really only have the national chains in Orlando (Pizza Hut, Dominoes, Papa Johns). There is a "Chicago" style pizza restaurant (also a chain) called Giordanno's. Our first experience with them was outstanding and I recommended them to everyone. Our second experience with them was awful, so we really haven't tried them again.

There are also grocery stores that deliver to the resorts.

There is Flippers Pizza too, they are awesome!

Another vote for Giordanos! We ordered from them in January and they not only delivered our food, but they also brought paper plates, napkins and silverware without even asking. Great food, great service!!

There is a company called Food Delivery Orlando(fooddeliveryorlando.com). They deliver from several restaurants... pizza, indian, italian, chinese, kosher, thai

Here is how off-site prepared food delivery works:

1) OKW, SSR, Moderate Resorts, Value Resorts
. . . restaurant can deliver directly to the room
. . . they do not need special permission or allowances
. . . they do not need to check in at the Front Desk
2) BWV, BCV, VWL, BLT, AKV, Deluxe Resorts
. . . food deliverers drop food at Bell Services
. . . you can retrieve it from Bellmen or have Bellmen deliver
. . . this is to preserve the tips/income for Bellmen

NOTE: Most eateries will not violate the Bellmen rule, as they might not be allowed on-site again. Some might get around the bellmen, but I would not count on it.

Just to clairify== they may make their own rules a little more strict. My pizza delivery at Pop wouldn't deliver to the room--I had to meet them in the lobby. It was probably a safety or time issue for them. I had no problem with this. Just because Disney says they CAN deliver to your door doesn't mean they will.
