Does anyone have any off-site parking recommendations for IAD? I just booked with JetBlue for November...$189 round-trip! :thumbsup2

Thanks!

I would say that you could park at my house and take a cab but the cab would cost you the same as parking at the airport.;)

We fly in and out of Dulles often. Often we just get our kids to drive us to the airport and pick us up. (1 hour each way from Charles Town, WV). When schedules conflict we just pick up a rental car and drive it home, but then someone has to follow my DH back to the airport the next day and bring him home (a 2 hour chore). Since we go for 2 weeks at a time, it's still cheaper than paying $140 to park in the economy lot. (We often have free rental car days with National, so the rental car is always free.) Good luck. Dulles is pretty remote, but someone may chime in. We fly Jetblue exclusively now and love it! Maybe the rental car will work for you if you have someplace to pick one up in PA and drop off at the airport and do the reverse when you come home. Not sure where in PA you are coming from.

Unlike most other airports, Dulles does not really have third party lots, AFAIK. Some of the hotels in the area offer park & fly packages, but that's about it.

Thanks, everyone. The information is appreciated! :thumbsup2

I'll check into the park/fly option.

Parking prices at Dulles is one reason we prefer to use BWI (we live 1 hour drive from each since we can't get there as the crow flies). BUT we're booked on Air France out of Dulles for a 15 night trip this summer to Europe. I have been really frustrated in looking for options to get there. We return mid-day during mid-week so it's not convenient for someone to pick us up. We live in upper Montgomery County and are actually not very far north of Germantown - BUT we live on the wrong side of Route 355 so our zip code puts us as living in Boyds (which is in the boonies). We don't really live in Boyds...we are 3 miles closer to Germantown than to Boyds BUT a lot of the shuttle van services won't pick us up because of our stooopid zip code!!:headache: It's looking like we'll end up having to bite the bullet and pay the extortion rates at Dulles. I'd say if anyone owns a few acres out that way it might be a good money maker to build an off-site parking lot!!:goodvibes Even once the metro is done out there it's still more convenient to drive sometimes.
