Review Off Site near WDW

Has anyone stayed near Disney at a hotel listed on Mouse savers? I was looking at Caribe Royale, and it looks really nice. Is the bussing the same as a Disney Resort Bus? To me the downer seems that you cant get a meal plan. Any good or bad thoughts on this or another off site hotel?

no EMH or DME either.

offsite transportation, if they have one, is not any where near Disney's.

expect maybe 2 buses in the morning - for going.

3 buses in the evening returning.

some times the last bus back is before the fireworks.

so get a rental car - you definitely need a rental car for offsite.

We got a great rate, including buffet breakfast, through Mousesavers at this DTD hotel. We were there from 10/31 -11/7/08. We loved being within walking distance of DTD. The buses come every 30 minutes to our hotel which wasn't a problem for us (going into the parks). We usually caught the Disney buses back to DTD Marketplace though and then walked back to the hotel. It depends when you're going, but it was slow when we went so we didnt' need EMH. We also don't care about the meal plan - we tried it when it was first available to DVC members (inc. tip & appitizer I think), but now with all the exclusions, for us, the value is not worth the cost.
