OFF site hotel closest to GF?

Upcoming trip to GF;brother is coming up for Superbowl,but doesnt wany to spring for $400/night. What off site hotel is closest in physical proximity to GF? thanks

The closest hotel would be about a 15 minute drive away, any way you look at it. The GF is the furthest hotel onto WDW property and it takes a while to get off. Look at any of the hotels in the DTD area, they'll be cheaper, but still a 15 minute drive, without traffic.

Probably the Hilton in DTD would be the closest, but as jel said, it's a solid 15 minute drive away.

Either the Hilton or the Wyndham Palace, or if you go to 192 West, there is a nice Ramada. You would leave GF, and go out following the signs to 192 West. As you turn onto 192 west, you will go about a mile and on the right, you will see a 7-11 convenience store. Turn right there, and the Ramada is behind it. We stayed there and if we were going to stay offsite again, it would be a good choice.

It might be cheaper and easier just to stay at one of the Disney value resorts. Another possibility is to try to get a DTD hotel on priceline or hotwire.

id say try the vlaues or go to DTD

I'd say a All Stars or Pop too but there is a Country Inn & Suites on Apopka Vineland Rd just a little North of the DTD area. If you come in the back way up North (not through the DTD area), it is quick & easy to the monorail resorts. Even closer coming in that way is Grand Cypress but I think it would be quite a bit more expensive.
