I know this seems like a lot to ask but does anyone have any recommendations for a fun restaurant with fairly good food or a dinner show. What is the pirate dinner adventure like? The food sounds horrible. I am traveling with my sis (28), and two nephews 5 and 7. I feel that since we have car eating off-site would be cheaper.

Off site eating can be much more cost effective, but the dinner shows are probably not your best bet.

Try taking a drive through the Dr. Phillips section (Palm Parkway to Turkey Lake to a left on Sand Lake). There are many nice restaurants there.

Also, there are a vast number of regular sorts of chain restaurants like TGIF's, Outback, Carrabas, Olive Garden, Smokey Bones, Mugsy's, Red Lobster, Macaroni Grill, Joe's Crabshack, Pizza Uno, Bennigan's, and on and on. If you like that type of food, you'll have no problem finding it in the general vicinity of WDW.

For the dinner/entertainment factor, many folks like Medieval Times. I'm not a fan of eating with my hands, but this is one of the better entertaining places. The food isn't remarkable, but it's not horrid either.

We enjoy Capone's for a "dinner show". It's a Chicago gangsters from the 1920's motife. Food isn't bad. Waiters are a riot!!

I always like going to this restaurant ( its part of a chain) for decent food and a cute pseudo-island atmosphere

We've never been to a dinner show but our two favorite off site restaurants are Bahama Breeze and Macaroni Grill. Both serve plenty of food with excellent service. Bahama Breeze is a must do on every trip to the World for us.

Thanks so much.. Both have been added to my restaurant list. Bahama Breeze and Jungle Jims here I come. I cant wait to go, Jan 23.

Where is Bahama Breeze? Is it on 192? I ordered GC from Hotwire for Olive Garden but Bahama Breeze is also listed so maybe we can go there too....

For pretty consistent, good priced breakfast we like Bob Evans. There are several around the WDW area.

We've always enjoyed a restaurant called "Pebbles" in the Crossroads shopping center. No show or entertainment, but the food and atmosphere were good as well as the price. I believe it's a pretty successful local franchise.

Bahama Breeze! Great food, moderate prices, Great food!!!!! The staff is super friendly and the "Island Atmosphere" is lots of fun. I guarantee you will not be dissapointed. We only wish they had one in the New York City area.
