Off-site for 1 night or All Star

I am a DVC member and i have my reservation for 12/1 thru 12/7

I am now coming down onn 11/30 and everything for DVC is booked soooooooooooooo my question is do i book the All Star Resort for $128 or go to the Hilton for $99 or Wyndham for $100, that is not Bonnet Creek this is DTD. Bonnet Creek was $152. I havent stayed at an ASR in 12 years how are they compared to the Hilton or Wyndham?

We always use the all stars on our first night because we fly in late. The cost advantage of DME makes it more economical than any other combination out there (unless you planned on renting a car anyway).

How many are going? Nothing wrong with the all stars, but be aware they are tiny, tiny rooms with full-size beds.

A DTD hotel sounds best. Make sure you ask what the resort fee and parking fees are. That is in addition to the room cost. I like the location of the Wyndam. If you plan to have dinner in DTD and maybe an adult beverage you just walk back to the hotel.

I would stay at the All Star for 2 reasons, Magical Express and they will transfer your luggage to your DVC resort for you. All you have to do is bring your luggage to luggage service and it magically appears a few hours later at the next resort. Otherwise you would have to rent a car from the airport and to get luggage to the DVC resort.
