Off site evc rentals

How does this work? I know in the past I have seen some when getting off ME with names on them. Are they just dropped off? How do I go about getting mine? I have always rented from the parks b/c i was worried about getting it on the busses and others smirks and remarks as they wait in line but have decide I just don't care this time and to go with an outside company. I need to think of myself this time.
Do you know if I can use my Disney rewards card? Also my husband will be renting one from the park when we are at Epcot, can we use our Disney rewards card also?

The outside companies are not Disney so they cannot use the Disney Rewards Cards. They require "real" credit or debit or stored value cards with a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express logo on them. They will (except for Randy's, who require you to be present) drop the ECV off at Bell Services at your resort with your name on it, and will pick it up from Bell Services after you depart.

Renting from in the parks is Disney and they can and will accept Disney Reward Cards and Disney Gift Cards.
