We may be going the end of January. We have never stayed off-site, but really want to keep costs down as we will only be there for 2 nights.

We will have a rental car.
We would like something as close to MK as possible.

We would like a value/lower end moderate type resort rate. I was wondering if any off site hotels will give us more comfort as opposed to a value.

Many Many Thanks :hippie:

We just got back from a five night stay at the Springhill Suites at Lake Buena Vista Village. There is also a Fairfield Inn and Courtyard Marriott next door. It's about 15 minutes drive to MK but easy to get there. Service was great and the rooms were very comfortable. There's also a food court onsite that's pretty convenient.

cypress pointe - which you can get here
www.hotelkingdom.com (what happen to the reviews for that other website?)

is very close. It is about 2 miles from PO and OKW.

however remember that the MK is the hardest to get too of the WDW theme parks.

You can't park close to it.

so you park in the TTC parking lot - then take a tram, then take either the monrail or ferry - give yourself an hour to do this.

unless the MK is open later - I would park at Epcot then take the monrail and switch to the MK monrail. might not be faster - but less irrating (okay to me anyway).

Windsor Hills is awesome and affordable and super close...about 5-7 minutes to each park! We stayed there in May. We also stayed in Cypress Pointe. We liked WH much better then CP. Go to windsorhillsrent.com and submit and enquiry and you'll get a ton of responses from owners!

We just stayed at Windsor Hills for 10 days. We loved it and it's incredibly close to the parks. As someone has already mentioned the MK is the hardest park to get to when driving b/c you have to park at the TTC and then take either the monorail or the ferry to the MK. Give yourself plenty of time to get to that park. We had directions to get there the back way. So we were able to avoid 192 and all the traffic. It's incredibly easy. We paid $1700 for the 10 nights and that included pool heating. We had a total of 7 people.
