We will be at DL during off-peak times. DL is open from 10-8 and DCA from 10-6. We will get two MM's to use at FL (Peter Pan first....always first!) so those days will be a bit longer.

I am wondering what suggestions you have for meal times.

We will have Me, DH, DD7, DD5 and DS 2.5. We are from Utah so the time difference will be one hour later than we are used to. If we have lunch at 11am (California time) I am afraid it will cut too much into prime ride time. I am planning on eating around 1pm :drinking1 (I have a couple of PS for 1pm already) then going to the hotel for naps/pool then back to the park around 4 then a late (for us) dinner either in the park or at one of the restaurants on the way back to the hotel when we end for the day. I will also have a bag with fruit, cereal bars. etc. to snack on throughout the daypopcorn:: and lots of water for everyone.

Does this seem realistic or should I change the PS for earlier...or later for dinner?:confused3

When do you usually eat?

If you have an 11am lunch, that puts it right at your body's noon-time. So if you eat at noon at home, that will be good. If you eat at noon at home, but wait until 1pm to eat at Disneyland, it's going to be 2pm to your stomachs, and that might cause some crankiness.

Having snacks is a really good idea. So you know, the fruit at Disneyland and DCA is beyond delicious. Super-expensive, but way better than grocery store fruit for some reason. Even if you don't want to buy a $2.50 apple, put some money in the budget for the pineapple spears and, if you have an adventurous family, the mango with lime wedge box. :)

That sounds great, you will have time to eat a substantial breakfast before you have to get there around 8:30 for your MMs. (unless your kids really need to sleep in-- mine are usually up and bouncing on the beds by 7 a.m. on vacation).

PS for lunch around 1 should be just fine, since it's off season (weekday or weekend? Because there's not really an off season for weekends!). You shouldn't have to wait more than 10-15 minutes, if at all, to be seated. For dinner, that sounds like it might be kind of late for tired kids. Maybe you could bring something with you, like sandwiches or bagels, and put them in a locker or keep them in a backpack, for your kids to eat whenever they get hungry in the afternoon / evening. You could supplement it with fresh fruit from a fruit stand, or something similar. Then they would have fuel to finish the evening, and you don't have long waits for p.s.'s inside the park. Sometimes the lines at the counter services are not bad, either. Rancho de Zocalo was usually reasonable when we were there.

You are going to have such a good time! Your kids are great ages to go to DL!
