Off property when to get there

Strangely I’ve never stayed off property when going to a WDW park, which isn’t that often as I live in Oregon. So I’m a bit lost on what to do in the morning. The day I will be at Magic Kingdom it opens at 9. What time should I get there to get the most of the day? And anything else I might need to know about not staying on property that I might overlook.

Park entry will be extremely busy in the morning. If you want to be towards the front of the non-ETPE guests I would arrive at the parking kiosks approx 90 mins before official park opening. There will be a line there plus this will allow time for parking, taking the tram to TTC (if needed), ferry/monorail to MK, security and tapping into the park. When you enter the MK you will want to make your way up Amani Street and head towards the left side of the hub where non-resort guests will be held until 9AM.
