We arrive at MCO about 5:30 p.m. on Friday and are looking for a casual place off-property for our group of 7 to eat dinner on the way to WDW. We'll be driving in on the Florida Greenway. Our usual target would be the Chevy's at the Crossroads, just to give you an idea of what I'm thinking about.

Taking the Greeneway you will come across two exits.

Orange Blossom Trail.

Turn left and you have Steak and Shake, Ruby Tuesdays, A Roadhouse Grill, and a great Mexican place, all on the right hand side. Turn right and you have a TGI Fridays.

The next exit is John Young Parkway.

Turn right and you have lots of options including the Ale House which is a very casual Sports Bar type of place.

golden corral has an excellent buffet, with a hot (meats, fish, sides), cold (fruit & veggie salads with all the fixings), and dessert (pies, cakes, make-a-sundae/cone, cookies, etc) stations.
the huge variety makes it easy to find something for everyone. in addition, we find it very clean & an excellent value (btw, there are coupons for GC in most coupon books in the airport, as well as by the GC exit :thumbsup2 ).

Thanks. Is the Mexican place an outparcel or an in-line space in a shopping center? GoogleEarth shows "El Flamboyan," is that it?

No that's not the name, and it's a pretty new place, for the life of me I cant find anything on the Internet about it! LOL It is a chain out of Washington state, very good.

When you get off the Greeneway, turn left, it will be less than a mile up on the right hand side, free standing place in the parking lot of Winn Dixie.
