Off property - booking Dessert Party?

We are staying off property in late August and I want to book the dessert party for MK. If I am understanding correctly, this can be done 60 days in advance? But those on property can book 60 days from the start of their stay? How competitive is it to book, am I likely to be able to get a reservation if I am on 60 days out? Also what time of day do the reservations open?

You *should* be able to book 60 days in advance (reservations open at 6am) but sometimes dessert parties don't open up at the same time as everything else does so if it says no availability, I wouldn't stress, just check once a day. You should be fine, they can fill up but not usually immediately unless it's a holiday week.

We went in August last year and reservations didn't open until like 30 days out for the dessert party. It was frustrating for planning (they opened later in the month before our week...who knows why).
