Okay, I love them. lol. I could seriously listen to their music all day and only come to like them more! :cloud9: I currently have them playing on Live365 from Epcot music. Call me weird but something about bagpipes and the rock beat they have playing parallel to them is just so intriguing to me lol.

What do you guys think of them? Like 'em? Hate 'em? Have no clue who the heck they are? lol.

Also, has anyone heard them perform in Epcot? I have never seen or heard their music in the park, but would love to someday!

I don't think I've heard them before, but I love the sound of bagpipes. They often play them in historical place in the Maritimes, around here and during our assembly for Remembrance day.
Even if it's not really traditionally Canadian, it feels that way to me.

I love bagpipes! My uncle plays them and I hear them every fourth of July. (The group plays "Amazing Grace" in the cemetary of the veterans of war during the 4th of July). I love them. I especially love the songs you don't often hear...I mean, I love Amazing Grace and Danny Boy, but then to hear another piece is just so interesting. Then, add some rock and it is so cool!!! lol.

gah i hate them
we went to watch them at epcot and had to leave because we found it so awful. it was just loads of loud painful notes to me:headache:

They used to be good, but now they just plain suck.

In the olden days they played mostly good Celtic (Fields of Athenry, Wild Rover) and Celtic-American (The Rovin' Dies Hard), but now they've tried to play more modern crap.

When I was at Epcot last summer, and they started to play Summer of 69, I had the urge to puke.

They went from playing pretty good Celtic music to playing horrible modernish music.

i love that song.
i cannot for the life of me imagine why it would be played with bagpipes:scared:

I haven't heard music THAT modern lol. I suppose what I have been listening to is the older stuff. I can't imagine them trying that song...I don't know, I'm skeptical of songs such as that sounding good with their instrumental talent and vocal talents...

All the music I have been listening to is celtic and songs no one would know around here.

Bryan Adams is love.
But not on bagpipes. That song is one of my favorite songs ever, and on the bagpipes.. ehhh.
I think this kind of music should be that kind of music. The kind that is just notes, that cannot be sung to. No name, just notes.

My mother has the cd. =[
she plays it alot.

we saw them in Epcot the last time we were down there.

Okay, here is a silly question...

We have never seen them at Epcot...are they there consistantly and if so, when? lol. I would love to see them live.

my entire family is obbsessed with them. my mom HAS to see them whenever they play. I'm not sure when they are there, but I know they are there alot!!! my cousin is also waaaaaaaaaayyy obbsessed, she has their CD and she goes to see every performance they do when we are there.

Okay, what Columbia said interested me so I searched them up on youtube and I have been, most definitely, listening to their older stuff lol. However horrid their "Taking Care of Business" rendition is, I am glad my first impression of them was with decent music of theirs lol.

Okay...so now I know there is a good and bad side to them lol.

Same.

I hate what they've become, but their trad. stuff is great. They do the Rovin' Dies Hard flawlessly, and that's a pretty rare song. (Battle Band is the only other group that comes to mind that does it)

They still do their good stuff a bit, so don't hate them forever.

Answering your question from before, I'm not sure when exactly, but I know they're at Epcot a whole lot. The Canadian area near their border with the U.K.

I have yet to hate them. lol. :goodvibes

I just became a fan last May (and the more I have see them and listen to them the more I like them!!) I used to like when they did the traditional celtic songs but the more I am listening to their CDs (I have all 5) the more I like their original songs. I am not too fond of Jamie (the bagpiper) singing - I love his bagpiping but I prefer to listen to Mark (bass player) singing. I also don't prefer them to do songs such as Takin Care of Business (again a song that Jamie sings) but I don't mind Summer of 69 (which I think they throw in there because Bryan Adams is Canadian and Mark was born in 69 just not quite the summer of 69) I also really liked that song back in the day so I really like it when they play it. They are good about taking requests too.

As far as when they play check out this website http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/EPCOT.htm - he normally updates every Saturday night all the entertainment times at WDW. Off Kilter's normal days to play are Sun-Thurs with shows usually no earlier than 12:30PM and no later than 7:30PM. Usually five 30 minute shows each day they are there.

omg. me and my mom are like obsessed with them!! we always try to watch them at least like 3-4 times per trip. sometimes even more. we have the celtic armadillo cd! that cd is love:love:
