We are currently planning our trip and our ADRs. We are going to have an off day and would like a nice meal at one of the resorts. What are your suggestions?

Thanks.

What resort are you staying at and what kind of group do you have (kids, teens, adults)?
I think O'hana at the Poly would be a great dinner, maybe Flying Fish Cafe on the BOardwalk, Citricos at GF or Artist Point/Whispering Canyon at WL.

Staying at POP. It is just the 2 of us. It is a honeymoon :)

Great suggestions. You could also go to DTD and shop and have a nice lunch or dinner. Wolfgang Pucks is really good.

Flying Fish would be great. Then you can go for a romantic walk on the Boardwalk. What a great suggestion!

Oh well then, if it's a honeymoon and you are willing to splurge a little, I'd recommend a Fireworks dinner. You can book a dinner reservation to coincide with the MK Wishes fireworks at either Narcossee (in Grand Floridian) or California Grill (Contemporary resort). Just tell the CM you want to time dinner with the fireworks and they will set up an appropriate time slot. Tell them upon checking in at the restaurant that you'd like a window table.
Here's a link from the Disney Moms panel with more info.

Congratulations and Best Wishes!

I vote for California Grill (Contemporary)..though its quite pricey.

Ohana's (Polynesian) is unique, though not as quiet as CG if your trying to get away from all the kids youve been sharing the park with (its not packed with kids, but there are some there).

The Spirit Of Aloha dinner show at the Polynesian is very nice, good food, great entertainment and then you can take a stroll on the beach afterwards and see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom (They are closed Sundays and Mondays).

Narcossees or Citricos at the Grand Floridian is also very nice, elegant.

If you have access to a car, I suggest leaving the property for Ming's Court..

Incredible!!

I'd suggest Kona Cafe at the Polynesian as a less-expensive alternative to other MK area resort restaurants, like the Cali Grill. You can have a nice dinner, enjoy a stroll with tiki-torches, flowers, and lovely views all around, and then watch the fireworks from the beach.

Otherwise, I think there are a number of great restaurants around the BW area. The Flying Fish suggestion was a good one. We also really enjoyed Cape May Cafe. Either way, you could stop at Beaches and Cream after for some ice cream. At several months pregnant (I was just looking at your pre-trip report), your wife might really want that ice cream!

Congratulations on the wedding, and I hope you have a great trip!

Thanks for your suggestions. Oh, we are on the DP!

If you want quiet, I would go Kona Cafe over 'Ohana, although we love the food at both.

Another choice we all love is Boma.

Wow, I just checked their website & it looks great. We're definitely going to have to try it. ::yes::

Just have to second Ming Court! I've eaten there my last two WDW trips and it is incredible! Not to mention beautifu (I love the koi ponds). l and the servers are wonderful!

Inside of WDW, for a romantic dinner, I highly recommend California Grill. Even better is to make an ADR for 2 hours before Wishes starts in the MK. You can request a window table when you check in and if they have one available, you can watch the fireworks from your table! I was fortunate enough to get to do this last year and it was magical!

The food at California Grill is awesome too! The flatbread appetizer was my favorite and the honey crunch cake for dessert was light and fluffy. . .just perfect!

If Dh and I were going to have a nice dinner at a resort restaurant we would, hands down, choose Jiko. Its our favorite restaurant and its worth the trip to eat at Jiko and get to see the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
