So, I have to write a defining poem from the point of view of Curley's wife, Slim, George and Curley.

I have all of them okay except for Slim.

A defining poem is like this...

Joy is
Going to Disney World.
The first day of summer vacation.
The smell of lilacs.
Being with the ones you love.

So. Here are my poems. If you've read of mice and men what do you think of them?

George:

Friendship is
Sharing a dream.
Always having someone to talk to.
Staying committed to the relationship regardless of annoyances or troubles.
Doing what's best for your friend.

Curley:

Women are
Good to look at.
Not worthy of too much attention.
Talkative, but they don't say anything important.
Not man's equal.

Curley's Wife:
Love is
Having someone that listens to you.
Shown through affection.
Believing in your companion.
Not what I find with Curley.

The only one i'm having trouble wtih is Slim's. I can't come up with a last line

Slim:
Work is
Where I can be in control.
My forte in life.
Not for the weak of heart.


Can anybody help me with any of them, but especially that last one?

Gosh, I hated that book. I tried to pay as little attention to it as I could, so I'm no help. Sorry!

mhm i hated that book when i read it last year god it almost killed me to finish it

but i guess you might want to say something about how it's the most important or something i'm not sure

i really hated that book it was like the bane of my existance for the week it took me to choke it down

I'm just on Chapter 4 and not enjoying it and paying as little attention as possible so sorry I'm no help we just met the guy when Lenny starts talking about the new home. Gosh I'm no help sorry.

I actually liked the book and the movie for that matter.
The poem for Slim is pretty good. Maybe you could do it about leadership since he seems to be the leader of the farmhands.
