Odds of getting same day late day FPs at EPCOT?

We'll be at WDW March 5-12 so we don’t have a ton of time. Also we have park hoppers which the new FP+ really makes it difficult to get your $'s work out of. So instead of taking our leisurely time and spending as much time as we want in one park then meandering over to another one on a whim, like we did with legacy FP, I've have to plan our days very strictly to spending the mornings in one park and late afternoon to evening in another.

Because I’m bringing two 16 year old boys, I pre-reserved the rides they like most , and for some thrill rides like SM, Splash Mountain, and RRC and TOT, I had to dedicate more FP's to make sure they would get to ride them more than once. The way to ensure a FP for their favorite rides was to get to those parks first and use the first 3 FP's for those rides. SO after literally a half a day of arranging and rearranging FP's and dinning rez's I was able to get FP's for all their favorite rides and some of them twice. ...

Except EPCOT. EPCOT is the only park that we won’t be able to hit first thing in the morning-the two times we'll be there will be late afternoon to evening. I could have bumped one of the other park’s morning rez's for EPCOT but the only two rides they really love there are TT and MS. and since you can only get a fp for ONE of those rides because of the stupid tier system and you can’t get fp's across parks, it doesn’t seem worth it to waste two remaining FP's on boring rides they aren’t interested in- better to use all three at another park. So I had to leave TT and MS up to fate.

But I know they WILL want to ride both of those so my question is how likely is it that we will be able to get TT and MS as fourth and fifth passes? After we use our first 3 in MK or HS, I'll have to jump online and try and get one in EPCOT for later that day for TT, then after we use that, try and get the fifth one for MS.

This is from EasyWDW regarding 4th FP availability at EPCOT:

During Soarin’s closure, Test Track is extremely unlikely to have any day-of availability outside of cancellations. Mission: SPACE will likely also have very little, if any, availability as a 4th option most days. Character Spot will also be unavailable save for the occasional cancellation. Living with the Land and low priority Tier 2 attractions like The Seas and Journey into Imagination may have availability, but it’s usually easier to head to the attraction of choice at a recommended time of day and wait a few minutes rather than hunt down a kiosk and wait there for a FastPass+ that won’t save you much time. Availability is better when crowds are lower, but with so few options, a “good” 4th FastPass+ is unlikely outside of lucking into a cancelation.

IMO, if Test Track is REALLY important to ride, your options are: ride standby closer to park closing (consider using the single rider line), use your FPs in that park (despite "wasting" two on "boring" rides), or rearrange your schedule to get there at RD on at least one of your EPCOT days.

Awe booooooo!!!
Thanks for the info. Yes I already played around with switching out a morning but those parks have rides I know my son will absolutely want to ride as much as possible . Last Year at DL he rode SM , Splash and TOT probably a million times. The last time we were WDW (2012) we got on Everest and Dinosuar so many times in one day that I got a splitting headache. IF I could get both TT and MS I might make the sacrifice but for just one, nah.

I guess they'll have to tough out standby (My son and his friend)...but I forgot about Single rider line and I'll make sure to suggest it to them. I know my son has no problem riding alone - he was riding TT alone all one thousand times he got on it because that's a ride I only do once per visit lol. His friend has never been to WDW so he might want to ride together- at least the first time. So I'll tell them to tough out standby one for each ride then do single rider. Also the lines might (hopefully) be better during illuminations. The first night we have the dessert party Illuminations but the second night they can try to take advantage of everyone being busy watching the show, I guess.

We do not go at peak times. Typically the crowd levels when we go are in the 5-7 range. With the tiers, we have arranged our FP+ at EPCOT as early as possible and even moved some up in an attempt to get to the kiosks as fast as possible to try for a 4th for either TT or Soarin. We have NEVER once been able to get a 4th FP for either of those rides, even checking before noon. With Soarin down, I can't imagine that you would be able to get a TT FP+. I don't know how MS is now that it has switched tiers and with Soarin down. We only ride the green side. We typically have had a FP for it since it was tier 2, but for the green side, we have never even needed the FP for it. The line pre Soarin closing and pre it being listed as Tier One was typically short for green.

After we use our first 3 in MK or HS, I'll have to jump online and try and get one in EPCOT for later that day for TT, then after we use that, try and get the fifth one for MS.
FYI: You won't be able to jump online and book your 4th FP. You have to do that from a kiosk in that park. So you would have to wait until you got to Epcot to try to book.

I haven't done this personally, but you might could try standby during Illuminations if the park is open during the show.
