I am still considering getting into the DVC, but now I"m planning a wedding/honeymoon etc... so still in the saving up mode. (maybe next year perhaps)

Anyways, if I buy in it looks like I would prob. get either HH, SS, or OKW... but I really love the Beach Club... now lets say we were planning a trip in May, what are the odds of getting a BCV studio or 1 bedroom in may during the 7 month window?

I know I keep hearing if you're not picky, you can usually always get an OKW or Saratoga (which is why I'm considering HH and since I'm only 6 hours away from it, the summer months I know book fast there)... but what about the other disney resorts?

I'm definitely not one of these people that would go to the parks during peak seasons (June, July, beginning of Aug, over Christmas) so those of you with experience... what's it like trying the 7 month out reservations????

tks!

I don't believe you will have a problem getting a 1 bedroom at the BCV in May if you call for the reservation as soon as the 7 month window opens. You should be able to get a 1 bedroom at any of the resorts for that time at the 7 month window. The only exception might be a standard view at the BWV - standard views tend to book up before the 7 month window opens, but even those are not impossible - especially if you are willing to use the waitlist.

In general, the busy times for the parks are not exactly the same as those for the DVC resorts. For example, early December is very popular with DVC members, but it is not the busiest time for the parks.

In general, January, the first half of February, May and September are the easiest times to book DVC.

Many here believe that there is more competition to book the smaller resorts (BCV, BWV & VWL) at the 7 month window than there used to be, and that the competition will continue to increase as SSR sells out. If you will not be happy if you have to stay somewhere besides BCV, buy a resale contract there. If you are OK with any resort when yor first choice is not available, then your current plan is a good one.

Congratulations on your pending marriage - can't think of a better place to spend a honeymoon!

Best wishes-

Thanks... hoping to really get a feel of the DVC and being "Welcomed Home" ... I can't wait!
