Odd ticket change question

We bought 3 day NON-hoppers from UT and linked them on MDE. We arrive in WDW on Friday. Can we change to 2 day hoppers which cost less but also add a MNSSHP ticket for a total cost of more? I know I can upgrade my 3 day non-hoppers to hoppers and/or more days but can I downgrade and add party ticket for total upgrade?

I do not believe you can do this.

No. MNSSHP isn't an option on a ticket, it's a totally separate ticket.
