Odd thing happened at on-line check-in

We have 2 cabins for the 1/26 Dream cruise and last night was our check-in window. Both cabins have a gold member in them (one with 9 cruises and the other with 6). I checked the 9 cruise member in first and the earliest PAT was 10:45, then I went in and made some on-board reservations THEN I checked the second cabin (with a 6 time cruiser in it). Both check-ins were done from the same account. The PAT that I could select for that person was 10:30. I know, this could have been a thing where someone released their 10:30 PAT, but seriously I doubt that! So, just now I went back in to the PAT for the cruise and have a 12:00 for the 9 time cruiser possible and an 11:30 for the 6 cruiser possible.

This really shows that DCL has some type of API running their back-end selection and while I don't know what this particular API could gain them I just wonder what else is manipulated on the back end?

I wonder if it's the number of occupants? Maybe they had enough room for 6, but not for 9?

Oh, hah! That makes more sense! Sorry about that. I guess I was reading too fast.

Could it just be bad luck? Have you looked again to see if it's the same?

I had something similar happen, I think it has to do with the new system. I ended up getting the PAT that I wanted but it was making me chose one of my 2 rooms differently.
