Odd Resort Question......

We are staying in 2 rooms at the HRH - there are 6 of us.

My brother-in-law lives in St. Petersburg and will be driving up to meet us the day we check out. I was thinking of inviting him up a day earlier to go to US/IOA with us but he would need FOTL to keep up with us......can I add him to my room reservation for only a day? We would not be going over the room occupancy as we have two rooms.... How do I handle this? Should I just put him on the reservation period? From the first day or should I add him to the last night?

Thanks.....

As long as you don't have more than 4 adults (over 18) for the two rooms, I would just go ahead and add him to the reservation.

If he would make a 5th adult and they are going to charge you extra for going over the 2 adult per room limit, then just add him for the last day.

Oh great - thanks for your input....no we only have 2 adults now so he will make 3.

Now if I just add him to the room thought.....will that affect whether we can get connecting, not adjoining, rooms? I know with Disney it would affect that guarantee. And if he is not with us at check-in (which he wont be...I love him but not 3 days worth lol) will they give us his room key?

Yes, they will give you his room key at check-in even if he is not there. My family is never with me when I check in, they are too busy wandering the grounds and DH is usually parking the car.

Since you are under the max adults, I would just add his name when you check-in. That way, you won't affect your adjoining room guarantee. I have no idea if that would affect it, but why take the chance? :teeth:

Just tell them you have an extra person coming to visit and you want to add him to the reservation and need a room key for him. They won't blink an eye. We actually did this last month. Our niece decided to come down with us at the last minute, so she wasn't on the reservation. I just added her at check-in and they printed a key out for her.

Hey its my husbands brother not mine but we do love him.......we just need to be careful because with 6 of us already thrown together constantly on vacation sometimes it is better to NOT add another personality into the mix. (but sometimes it IS better)
