Has anyone ever won two of the three rounds but lost the game? This happened to me and made me wonder if the winner could be based on total amount of ghosts cought, rather than number of rounds won? Also, had a game where the final result was "no winner". I had never seen that before either. Both of these happened to me on 'fun day', so I wasn't too surprised to see anything odd.

I believe winning the game is based on how many ghosts are caught, not by rounds won (I have played games where I won two rounds, but had fewer total ghosts...and I lost the game).

As far as no winner is concerned, that's usually because the other team has left before the game was over.

i have lost a game before even though i caught more ghosts??? didn't make sense to me (this was a while ago though).

On the 'no winner', no one had left from either teams, and the final score was a difference of one or two ghosts, something like 28 to 29, one win green one win purple. It was the VERY busy time on fun, day, and I got the feeling VMK was clearing out the room so others could come in!

I've never heard of VMK emptying a game just so others could play. :confused3 Now the game did crash on people during the February fun days.
I know HM has had bugs where people have been bumped to the lobby before the game was actually over. But what you're saying is that there was a final score of one win green and one win purple...that wouldn't even work. If each team has one win, that would mean there would be a third round that needs to be played....therefore no final score yet. If a "no winner" message pops up, either one team actually left (intentionally or by accident), or they were accidentally bumped to the lobby by the bug before the game finished.

Yes that has been my experience with every game of ghosts I have played since coming on VMK. But as the is the title of my post, this was an 'unusual' experience. Equal wins and losses; almost equal score; both teams present; game over :) If I hadn't of been so surprised I would have taken a photo.

This does not happen often but does on ocation. It is a scoring fluke. They have made some changes since the start, The No win makes no sense, but I have seen it an half dozen times maybe. winning two rounds but losing sometimes is the results of catches after the time runs out. also this is the same for no win. If when time runs out you are tied there is no sudden death so they say no winner. By the same token, if you have less ghosts when time ends but manage to suck in enough to pass the other team it will look like you won because you get ghost credit but they will call a win for the other team. It has to do with them being equitable with the catches but fair on the wins, the results are confusing scoring. They go by rounds won, and usually that means the person with the most ghosts, on rare occations this will not be the case.

I always thought that the winner was picked based on who won the most rounds? That's what I thought always happened to me.. :confused3 :confused3

I have also lost games where I should have won.

I remember it happening at least twice during fun days.
Two rounds won for my team and one for the other. My team also has more ghosts. I have a few pictures.

It's been frustrating me... those games could go towards bonus credits for certain numbers of wins! :headache:

This happens to me a lot. I think that maybe they don't count when you rescue the other player as part of your overall score. I know they don't give you credits for it. I just don't really pay it much mind because I get all the credits anyways.

I usually lose games where my team catches more ghosts at the end but we didn't lose the round. :confused3

I dont think so...I lost once and my team had more ghosts. This also happend on a fun day.

I wonder then if it really is effected by "unghosting" someone from the opposite team? I don't know...I've been in games where I had more ghosts but only won one round and won the game, and I've had it where I won both rounds and had fewer ghosts and won....who knows.

ive lost too, and for some reason, the Purple Team Loses by like 83 or whatever, and then the other Says Green Team Wins By 75 >_< i get mad at times, ... but it hasn't happened lately. :confused3
