my little pooch LOVES fireworks, I know, she's an odd ball but my question is are dogs allowed on the beach or anywhere that the MK fireworks are viewable from in FW?

Dogs are not allowed on the beach. There is a path from behind the 300 loop that leads to the lake you might be abe to see the fire works from there.

:thumbsup2 It is a great view ! Go into 300, right on the dirt road, then left over the bridge.

There are appoved places for pets at Ft Wilderness like pet loops and the dog park. If you bring your dog beyond those designated areas, then you are impacting the quality of other people's vacation experience.

Thank you motherwild, 2goofycampers and Cousin Ed C! That will be perfect then!!

skyp4WDW that is why I asked the question.

never thought you could impact an entire vacation by having a pet step "out of bounds" REALLY??????
:confused3

Rules have to be place because some people just don't use common sense. Your the first person I have ever heard say their pet loves fireworks. Most people's pets freak at loud noise's or bark etc. and I am sure you can understand how that could impact the people around you weither your a pet lover or not.
It's a shame really, I understand they shouldn't be in the common area's like the pool area, beach/boat dock etc., but that area behind the 300 loop is pretty isolated besides a few bikers and sometimes the hay ride.
We use to go there and head over to the the little cabin across the canal and swing on the front porch (without our pets- they don't like loud noises). But, that's pretty much gone now, so their really isn't much over there anymore. It's a shame as not even the hay ride ustalized that area and it's a great view of the fireworks.

Over Memorial Day weekend we took our BT's in a bike trailer that we pull behind hubby's bike on the path over to the Wilderness Lodge. We did pass a sign at the back of the resort that said no pets behind this point, but we were really never in any main areas. Going around the bus loop was pobably the only place that we were near people. But honestly most people didn't even notice they were in there. And when the carriage ride came through on the path over to Wilderness Lodge, we took both of our bikes and the bike trailer off the path so it could pass. At which point the CM and passengers noticed the dogs, but only made positive comments. Our BT's do not bark and are completly closed in. Not even security said anything to us as we passed through the bus loop for Pioneer Hall (again we only went in that area when no bus's were there). Now had we tried to take them through the Pioneer area or the barn etc. then their might have been a probelm. I think it's all in how you handle the situation and how your pet behaves, you know them best.
Course Security can always tell you your in the wrong, but I have found that if you don't give them a signifigant reason to make them they will probably leave you alone. You just have to use common sense in my opionon.
