Hi guys! Just wondering --- I know, this is odd question... how do you store your bottles? Maybe we just have too many bottles. I have enough bottles that I can have about a days worth in the dishwasher and still be able to make a few extra bottles. I was just wondering if you dedicated a specific counter/cabinet to the bottles or how did you stay organized when you are constantly washing or making bottles?
Signed ... new mom wishing she would have "nested" more before the baby!

I have shelves in my daughter's closet for her medicine and unused bottles. I then have a shelf in our kitchen cabinet for bottles and sippy cups and I only take out the amount of bottles that I would need. The extra filled bottles are on the top shelf of the refrigerator.

I used to just use one of those plastic storage baskets. I put everything there, bottles, nipples, bowls, spoons, etc. Since they've got holes around them, once I wash them, I throw it in them and they just air dry. I leave the whole bin on the counter where I can just reach it easily.

I had a huge pan I only used when I sterilized my kids' bottles. After I sterilized them and let them air dry, I washed the pan and let it air dry, then I stored the bottles in the pan and put the lid on the pan. I could fit about 15-20 bottles in there (the big and small sized bottles).

I cleared out one shelf in a small cabinet but it's beginning to get overstuffed. I have about a dozen large bottles which I now use for her feedings and I have about the same number of small bottles which I'm now using for heating formula to mix with cereal. I know what you mean about wishing you had nested more!

I only have 6 bottles (she's down to 3 bottles a day). If they aren't in the dishwasher , I have space in the cupboard I cleared, for her bottles, food, cereal, etc. There's never enough space in my kitchen though it seem.

I always had enough bottles for 3 days worth. 1 bunch ready made in the fridge, 1 bunch in the dishwasher and 1 bunch ready to go and in case of emergencies ( like me forgetting to run the diswasher. I had this wood rack with posts sticking up...bottles went on this upside down....everything else was thrown in a bowl after hand washing. I also kept a bowl by the sink to throw the used nipples and caps and collars in because those were not washed in the dishwasher.

I tended to "over" nest and had too many things for my kids...I was always afraid of running out.

I had a carosel rack on the counter. I had all the bottles filled with water and added formula when needed. So the fridge was never full of bottles and since water never spoiled...it was great. I never heated up a thing. just a mix and a go. I also had cleared some space in the kitchen drawers and cabinets for sippy cup and silverware and such. Remember some day you will get your space back.

DD is 3 months. A trick I learned from a friend w/my first daughter.....instead of warming up bottles, both DD's would/will drink their bottles at room temp...makes it a lot easier for traveling. After bottles are washed, I fill them all with water. Even if you fill with cold water, by the time they're ready to use, they'll be room temp. That way, all you do is add the formula when ready. I have about 12. Half I store in the kitchen on one of my counters near a corner, the other half on baby's dresser. We have a 2 story house and I'm to lazy to have to go down and get a bottle in the middle of the night. :D

I have a cabinet dedicated to bottles. I have a ton...so, they go on all three shelves of a cabinet.

Thanks for all your ideas! We do the water at room temp and then add formula unless we are using the liquid formula. We got a lot of that in the beginning as gifts and such.
I like the idea of a big plastic storage basket to place everything in! I will look when I am out today for some of the things you guys mentioned! Thanks again! I knew you would all have ideas! :)

When she was first born and in a different house with little cabinet/counter space, I used a bakers rake. It was basically mainly for baby stuff, formula on bottom. The main shelf was for bottles to dry and stay until needed.

In our new house, we have two shelves in one cabinet for her sippy cups/bottles, and now mainly plates, bowls, silverware.
