Is it possible for one family member to collect a fastpass for a family member not in the park at that moment? What I mean is this - Some days on our early June trip I expect our family to start at one park, leave midafternoon for hotel pool break, then return to a different park for the rest of the day. Except my DH doesn't like pools and can ride some attractions the rest of us won't, so it might work well for him to just go to the second park by himself while I go to the pool with the kids, and then meet up at the park. I was wondering if my husband could take our tickets along with him and collect a fastpass for us to use later on (assuming the timing worked right). Obviously he would then have to meet us outside the gate to give us our tickets so we could get into the second park, but with two cell phones this should work.

So, anyone know if the fastpast machines know if you are checked into or out of a park? I've only been to DW once and can't remember if you scan your hopper card when leaving a park or not.

I know that they check to make sure that the tickets were used to enter for the day. Not sure if they check per park or any park though.

As long as he has your park ticket, he should be able to get your fastpass'. But I'm not 100% sure. Dosen't hurt anything to give it a try.

If your park pass was not used to enter the park, then it will not work in the Fast Pass machines

The person leaving the park must have his/her ticket with him/her at all times in order to re-enter. You are not allowed to rendezvous at the entry fence and pass tickets back and forth.

With that in mind it is impossible to fetch a fastpass for someone not in the park.

Also due to security precautions and ticket non-transferability enforcement you should not leave the park to rendezvous with someone to hand him/her his ticket, returning in much less time than it takes to go to your car to get something.

I tried it once, and it wouldn't allow it. We had breakfast at Cape May, and I took our park tickets before breakfast to try to get fast passes for Test track, which we had been unable to ride in our previous 8 days there because fast passes were always gone when we reached the park (no way will I wait 90 minutes for it!) The ticket must be used for entry to the park in order to get a fast pass. We never did get on Test Track that trip.

Is the rule that the ticket must have been used to enter "THE" park the attraction is in or is it that the ticket must have been used to enter "A" park that day?

THE park-

The system is good. Also If ya try to Park Hop within 2 hours youll get denied (logically as you should be spending 2 hours in a park before park hopping- trys to stop the re-use of that same ticket by others ie mom has 3 tickets gets her and 2 kids in then takes those tickets to get two more people in on those same tickets etc)

And you cant even get a FP if ya park hop and ya still have a valid pass from the old park.

All these little things ya find out when ya are a CM and are doing a 4 park 1 day thing :)

echoing some of the above posters: the tickets must be used to get into the park for them to work in the fastpass machines...i know because I tried this at mgm last year...wife and kids were not at another park, but waiting in the car...we were going to go to lunch PS at one of the resorts and then return to mgm later and I thought I'd get fp's so we could return and ride Rn'R when we returned...since i had only used my ticket to enter the park, my ticket was the only one that would work for getting a FP...I explained to the CM stationed at the FP machine what I was trying to do and he manually gave me the other three FP's...It was very nice of him to do this, but, I don't think he was required to...It would probably be up to the individual CM's descretion as to whether or not they would do it....

Only admission tickets that were used to enter that park on that day will work in the FP machines.

Last trip we started at AK in the morning and then went to MK for the afternoon. The turnstyle that we entered through didn't like my pass and the CM checked my ID and had to over ride the system to spit the pass back out. Low and behold we went to get a fp and my pass was not recognized as valid admission (despite AK that am). I had to return to city hall to have my pass activated for MK that day.

So in your situation having used the passes at a different park in the morning won't work.

Thanks for all your answers, I guess my original idea won't work, but it's great to be able to know ahead of time.
