Here is where you can post odd facts you have learned about WDW!

Did you know that on the train ride, The three alligators serenading the bullfrog often get beat up and chewed on my real alligators? Disney Imagnineers have often had to re-paint them.

I don't know if this qualifies as "odd," but Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage opened the exact same night as Beauty and the Beast on Broadway in NYC.

Don't know if its odd, but the drinking fountain behind Cinderella's castle when a small child bends to take a drink and looks up a crown appears behind Cindy's head! So the statute of cindy goes from a commoner to a princess in one second!

At the end of the Jungle Cruise, the audio-animatronics shout, "I love disco!"

That IS odd!

:goodvibes

Not really odd....but if you pay attention during some of the slow moving car rides...you are bound to find a host of hidden mickeys in the strangest places.

Micky Mouse has about 175 outfits in the wardrobe closet. But Minnie has over 200!!!

What is it with women and all those clothes?

Just wanted to clarify in case someone tries listening for this... It is not at the end of the ride. It is in the middle just after the hippo pool, you have the dancing natives on the right and the attacking natives on the left (on the island)...when the natives on the left side start to attack the boat with their spears (just before "the backside of water") you will hear the wind of the spears as if they are passing by you and then one of the attacking natives yells "I love Disco"....

On Splash Mountain just before the big drop, there's a little weasel or something that pops out of the ceiling and says "FSU!".

When you are riding the steam train, as you go through the crossing in Adventureland there are peices of a train off to the sides, pony wheels (these are the smaller front guide wheels on the train) the holder for the bell, etc., these are the original pieces taken from what is now the Roy O Disney steam train. They were having issues getting them to fit properly when they were refurbishing the trains (when they came over from Mexico) so they machined new ones and the shop and took the old ones to the park and set them out along the path.

The exact center of the WDW property is located in Epcot, right in front of The Land Pavilion.
It's marked with concentric circles lined with quotes from famous philosophers and stuff.

"The Swiss Flag seen over the Swiss Family Treehouse is the only flag of another nation permanently flown over a Disney Attraction." Taken from: The Imagineering Field Guide to the Magic Kingdom

The "hidden Mickey" on the dining table of the Ballroom scene in the Haunted Mansion was not an official Hidden Mickey. Underneath the main plate for each place setting is a photo of how that setting should look so that if the table gets moved, or cleaned, etc. decorating can come back and readjust the palce settings. The CM's of the Mansion would go back in after decorating and change the one setting back to the Mickey head. After a few dozen times of the back and forth of this, decorating gave up and left it as a Mickey head and it is now listed as a Haunted Mansion Hidden Mickey... Side note, the only "true", intentially placed by imagineers, hidden mickey in the Haunted Mansion is the one in the Grim Reapers hand at the end of the graveyard scene

This one is odd...and kinda gross!! =D

All of the human wastes are recycled throughout WDW. Urine is mixed with regular water and used in the irrigation systems for the plants. Poo is used for growing various plants around the parks and is a great natural fertilizer. :rotfl:

Near the end of the Haunted Mansion, actually just at the end of the graveyard scene, but just before you enter the hall to discover which ghost follows you home...and you must listen very closely for this...you can hear at the end of the grim grinning ghosts song a voice which seems to be saying, "I buried Paul"!!! :teeth:
