Has anyone stayed in those rooms? I have seen them on the DVC map/roomfinder, and am curious if anyone has pictures or can give opinions regarding layouts of them...I believe they end in #528 inland side and #519 lake side (# is the floor #) We are staying there in December, and wanted to know how a family with 8 would fit into them if we happened to get one, or where a rollaway would fit, etc...We have a family of 6 and are bringing my mom, and my brother, so they would need their own beds...we figured out how to make it work with a regular 2 bedroom, but not so sure with the odd layout...

We just have that kind of luck that we would end up there....LOL:rotfl:

ANY input is appreciated...

Personally, I love those and call those the atrium 2 bedroom villas. I've had them several times and loved it. They are just rearranged, but aren't less spacious.

We just returned yesterday from Disney. We stayed in 3 resorts while there, the last one being VWL in room 5519 (as a 1 bedroom). We LOVED the room. Yes, it was weird shaped, but the living room had 4 windows, and the whole villa had 2 great balconies. The view was awesome, we could see the lake from the balcony. It just felt so spacious - especially since earlier in the week we were in a 1 bedroom at JH that was sooo tiny. I would love to stay in that villa every time I visited VWL.

We stayed in a 2BR back in 2007 and LOVED the layout. It just seemed roomier. I'd definitely try to snag one of those again if we ever had a chance. I didn't realize they had 1BRs with the same sort of layout.

The one bedroom we had was part of a 2 bedroom lockoff - the studio portion was next door. I would have loved to have had that room also, but I was not able to turn my reservation for a 1 bedroom villa into a 2 bedroom villa - they were sold out!

We stayed in one...loved it! I felt it was roomier with the different layout, and loved all the windows, plus the great view.

Ok...since they are so wonderful and roomy, maybe we have the kind of luck that we would NOT end up there after all....LOL!!!:rotfl2:

Thanks for all the wonderful information!

Anyone have any pictures of these rooms? I'm curious. I've never seen this layout and we're trying to stay there in May. Thanks!

Funny, I was about to ask the same question when I just discovered this thread.

We are checking in on saturday, and have booked a 2 BR. I put in a request for pool view and close to atrium. Maybe we are getting one of those corner villas.

Also would love to see pictures.

Something I didn't like was that the kitchen had no cabinet space for food. The washer and dryer are in a closet that is right next to the stove, pretty much - in the kitchen! The couch is up against where you would normally find bar stools(nice chairs) in the other floor plans, so you loose out on that. But the space seems bigger and you get more windows. It feels more spacious. I would try for it again. We were lucky that we got two of them on our last trip (large group.) Requested near the elevators.

They do not provide roll away beds in villas. You get a king sized bed in the master, two queens in the second bd and a queen pull out sofa in the living room. You can bring a blow up mattress but they don't provide bedding.
